I want to own a personal website. In which case i need a domain name, hosting, email functionality, FTP, small database in the background, indexing in google. What is the yearly price for getting all these, plus if i face difficulty in making webpages i may need to get them done from your enterprise, so what is the charge per page design?

well
indexingwith google takes about 3 months (free) but you can pay (price optional)
you can get a domain (price depends on domain)

You can not get a database with Yola, you will need to find an obnline hosting company

here are some examples of what you can make with Yola

hope this helps.

Hi Pal,

Using the Yola website builder and hosting is free.

A domain name will cost you.

If your using Yola you do not have access to the FTP or mySQL databases.

Indexing yourself in google will be your job, or you could take the lazy way out and useWpromote! (which will cost you).

If you face difficulty in building GetSatisfaction is the place for you. Our community will give you all the help you need. Though, did I hear Yola were thinking of putting together a list of recommended designers to help you?

Anyways hope this answers some of your questions.

Hi dipankar

In addition to Alex's comments, I'd like to add the following:

The site building tools themselves are free. The only thing you'd be paying for is your domain (if you should choose to have one).

Yola is integrated with Google Apps which allows for email functionality and webmaster tools.

I noticed you said you wanted database functionality - Alex is correct in saying that Yola does not offer this. However, we have found workarounds that seem to work well such as using Zoho or Google Docs.

We do not have FTP access but again, we may be able to find alternative ways to help you accomplish what you're seeking.

Hosting is free with unlimited bandwidth and storage. You have 15mb max upload per file. You can upload as many files as you want. If you have a file greater than 15mb, then you could host that particular file on a file hosting site and link to it.

There is no charge per page design. You can create as many pages as you'd like.

I would like to encourage you to look around at other people's site here to see what has been accomplished. Another great place to see the variations is Yola's featured sites: http://www.yola.com/featured_sites

You'll find that this forum is absolutely amazing in getting feedback, help and advice. We hope that you will join us!

Thanks for the great answers, Alex and Connor.

@dipankar pal: Right now Yola only sells domain names (which includes options for email setup.) Site building and hosting is free, as Connor mentioned. We have tutorials that take you through the process of building and publishing your site, but we don't have any designers on staff who will build the site for you. We are working on a referral system for the near future, but this isn't ready just let.

For detailed, step-by-step instructions please check out the tutorials and FAQs on our support page: http://www.yola.com/support.html
