Finally my website is up, and the domain transferred. I wanted to know, if my domain name was already showing up in google, do I still need to index the pages of the site through synthasite? - using google webmaster tools?
Are you still editing the site with synthasite? If you dont use synthasite anymore add the google code in the head of your html. All you need to do is make sure your domain name is correctly added to your webmasters account - log in at http://google.com/webmasters and check that the domain is added, verified and has a site map added.
Google check every so often for their code and if its not there it needs re verifying.
Maybe this helps. I'm sure an employee will answer soon
Tiggs: that is up to you. If your site is indexed there is no necessity to add Google Webmaster tools. These tools are fairly advanced and help you to optimize your site for search engines. However, you do not have to use Google Webmaster to have a successful site.
