It looks like you've been doing some updates today, so possibly this is what has affected my web builder, but I can no longer edit anything. All pages are completely frozen. http://www.lovelytocu.com

Hello Shawnna,

We have done a release and I'm very sorry that this may have affected your ability to edit your site. We certainly want to fix this up as quickly as possible. Please can you try clearing the cache in your browser to see if this allows you to resume editing in your Sitebuilder.

I had a look at your live website and I am able to load up your shop page. I've attached a screenshot of this. Please can you confirm if this looks correct to you?

If the problem persists, please share a screenshot of how this is displaying for you and what browser and version you are using.

I'm still not able to edit my website but the store is displaying now.

I've cleared my cache, re-started my browser, I'm using Firefox 25.0.1. Everything on my pages is frozen and un-editable.

Hi Shawnna,

Thanks for trying the suggestions. I'm sorry that they did not seem to help. I am able to make changes on my end. I wonder if you might try disabling your security settings and browser add-ons.

Could you please give that a try and see if they have any effect?

I tried your suggestion, and tried a different browser, but it is not affected and still does not work.

I've determined that the site builder works just fine until I go to my blog page. Nothing on this page can be edited and as soon as you navigate from here to the other pages those won't edit either.

I also can't make changes on some of the pages on my site. The Culture-the Arts page - nothing can be udpated. The Free Play page - nothing can be updated. I am able to update on my index page but the new changes have wrecked havoc on my fonts. The new text bar does not stay visible and there are many more steps to update fonts/colors, etc. I need to be able to make changes to my site and it is not letting me.

My site is www.MasonMetu.com.

Ho, Kristin, join a club of thousands! The best advice right now is: do not update or publish your site. Yola will probably sort it out tomorrow - and give us back our old text editing bar. (If not, I will personally fly to Cape Town this week to encourage them :)) For sure, the new editing bar neither works nor offers any useful benefits whatsoever.

Hi Kristin,

I'm sorry to hear you are unable to edit your website. Contrary to John's opinion though, we do not have plans to revert to our old text editor. We have released a fix that ensures the new text editor stays anchored to the top of your text widget and is always visible. Please let us know if this is not the case for you.

Regarding your other complaint that nothing can be edited on your other pages, can you please tell me more about what exactly is happening for you there so we can look into that?

Hi Chris,

I am not being sarcastic, and while I agree we may be missing each other, simply saying " IT DOES NOT WORK! " really doesn't give me anything to go on.

Let's try to get on the same page. You keep referring to a "Style Developer." I assumed that you were referring to our "Style Designer" however based on your response, I now wonder if you have actually tried the Style Designer or if you are referring to the new Text Widget Editor.

If you are referring to the editor and have not yet looked at the Style Designer I think that would explain the confusion.

Can you confirm if this is where our misunderstanding lies?

Hi Laura - thank you for the response. I can confirm that I am referring to the style designer. The style designer does not adjust the font size back to 12pt (as I want it to be) for text that has been linked.

It is the Style Designer that does not work. All I want (and this should be very simple) is for all of the text on my website to go back to being 12pt Georgia. I thought the Style Designer would be able to do this - but it cannot.

I have found myself completly unable to revert text (that links elsewhere) back to 12pt Georgia to match the rest of the text on the website. And I cannot believe that this should be such a hard task!!!

I have started up a new thread of my top problems with these recent changes. Hopefully you (or someone else) will be able to address these one by one. They shouldn't be hard to achieve. They are all basics after all.

Thank you again for addressing our concerns. I hope you understand where I am coming from now.

If you are working within the Style Designer this would have nothing to do with the new text editor. I would like to take a look at this for you but I do not see an email address associated with the forum. Can you please reply with your website address?

Excellent - thanks Laura. My email address is dreadlocksmile@sky.com. My website is not yet published online (it's almost ready after around 4yrs in the making). Being a Yola employee I hope that you will be able to access it without it appearing online (please do not publish it yet).

If you can make all of the text (including linked text) 12pt Georgia for me again, then I'll be over the moon.

Thank you again for looking into this for me.

Right...I'm off to bed (it's 12:47am over here in the UK). Night night.

When I go into other pages on my site (not my main index page). I am locked. I cannot make any updates, any changes to anything. I can't update it, delete a widget - nothing.

I just went into my Culture-The Arts page: http://sitebuilder.yola.com/en/ide/in...#

I am trying to delete the widget box that has the Children of Eden logo and it will not let me delete it. I also cannot go in and add text to any of the widget boxes or make any changes.

This is happening on other pages as well. I need to be able to update my site. I have a huge site and this is a big problem. To have to go now and look at every page on the site to see what is working and what is not.

Also, the edit bar is not user friendly especially if you just want to adjust the color of the text - so much easier before.

Hi Kristen,

Thanks for your patience while we looked at this for you. The good news is, the problem on your "The Culture-the Arts page" is not related to the new text editor. The bad news is it appears like you have added some custom HTML code that has made the widgets un-editable. A colleague of mine removed the Children of Eden logo and will continue to investigate the source of the problem for you. She will follow up via email with more information.

Thank you - this is happening on almost all of my page except for the index page. My question for your colleague is why this would suddenly happen on the day the new text editor roll out started. And why it would lock up so many of the pages. Hoping they can get it back to working order very soon since I have to continually update the site. Thanks for having them look at it Laura.

Laura, I am getting lost in all these threads - my site is not allowing me to edit any of the other pages beyond the index page. I reported this as a new problem in the forum since I really need it addressed and fixed. The site is www.MasonMetu.com.

Kristin,

You are correct that your problem is not related to the text editor, however you can refrain from creating new inquiries about it. I have created a case for you and our HTML team will follow up with you via direct email as I mentioned above.
