I am new to the making website thing. I used the Synthasite template and layout. But I cannot move around the text boxes or widgets. I want to move ad links and Google Ads to the margins but everything I add is just running vertical. Even my Adsense that are sky scrapers. The format at Google says right middle and when I add it to my website, its at the bottom of the page centered.

How do I move around or play with the lay out like other websites. My website looks like a word document with pictures. I want it to look like this site (the one I'm blogging on) and all other sites.

Hi Bags,

Some of the style are more vertically oriented than others, and it sounds like you have selected one of them. You may be interested in checking out this website, where one of our users has created a page showing examples of sites created using the different styles available http://forsite.synthasite.com/website...

You can move your widgets by clicking on the Properties tab in the right-hand sidebar. You'll see top, bottom, right, left margin entry box settings displayed, that you can edit to see how your text and and/or images are altered.

You can add numbers there to move your website to the left, right or up and down.

Alternatively, you could add a two column widget to your page. A two-column widget (located in the right-hand sidebar) is a great way to change the look and design of your page. You can add widgets into the two-columns, or even more two-column widgets inside the two-column widget.

The center divider of the two-column widget can be dragged to the left or right to change the size of the columns.
