Website Design Tip: Have a fast-loading website!

When designing a website, not only should it look great but it should load quickly! If your page takes too long to load up, then people are not going to stick around to see it. It should not take any longer than 10-15 seconds to load. Be sure to optimize your images! We have a great tutorial on how to do this here: Image Optimization

I presume the less widgets the better and to use HTML rather than for instance, dropping a picture box in for each picture.

Glad you posted this Sanja as this is becoming more important for SEO in general....Google does count load speed as part of a sites PR now.....They are so serious about it they have come up with a new image format that they want to replace jpg files..Here is a link to an article that talks a little about the new format and images in general

This not something to panic about and it may or may not catch on but Google is going to give it a try.
