A nice feature would be to create a button to select a Website Icon for every page.
Otherwise you have to select the same Icon on every Page, which is anoying..

Hi there Chris,

Are you wanting a Favicon that you can add to every page (like the "Apply to all" we have for the banner image and background)?

I will suggest this to our designers and see what they can come up with.

In the meantime unfortunately you have to do it page-by-page.

To add your own favicon to your site (the little image that appears next to your URL 0f the browser window), this is what you need to do:

1. Click on the Properties sidebar.
2. You will see a "Favorites Icon" field (the second last box from the top). Click on the browse button to the right of the box to browse your desktop or file manager for an image to upload.
3. To see what your favicon will look like, save and preview your page.

Please note that Internet Explorer doesn't allow favicons to be displayed next to your URL or on the tab of the window. The favicon will be displayed if the site is bookmarked and in your Favourites folder. The best option would be to change to Firefox which does show the favicons in all three areas.

yeah, thank you for replying...
Well, the problem is, that if you want to create a favicon for your website, you have to do it by going through every page.

So, yes that is what I mean with the "Apply to all" button, but in this case, for the FavIcon.

Thanks in Advance.

If it works or not, I'm still pleased with what I have, It's not a big deal, but it would be great.

Chris - remember that Yola has a 'save page as' feature. If you click the little arrow next to save you get the save page as feature - this reproduces the whole page including any favicons.

If you want to get a favicon to show on every browser you use this code - but the image has to be a .ico file -- you can change images to .ico here http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/
<!--
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://hexham.info/resources/favicon....>

Change the URL to point at your own file.

yeah that is true, but, don't you have to go to every page you created and setup the Favicon in the properties menu?

Unfortunately my Favicon is a gif animation, and is 201kb, so I can't see why I have to change it into an ico file, unless I want it to be vissible on every browser, but no thanks, I'm fine with it working on firefox and google chrome.

My idea was if Yola could create a apply to all page button for the Favicon, just like the background and banner button.
It's just an Idea, it's not important but would be a very usefull feature.
