My domain name renewed on Saturday and was charged to my credit card. As of this morning my website is down and my gmail accounts using that domain name are also down. I can't get support to respond to my emails. HELP!

Hi Christine

I am sorry about this. I see you sent a large number of emails within a very short space of time. One of our support reps, Andre, has responded. Please check your email for his response as he has explained what needs to be done.

This relates to the new ICANN policy of requiring you to verify your domain details. For more information see: https://www.yola.com/tutorials/articl...

Once you follow the steps in the email Andre sent to you your site and email will be back up and running.

I've had no response! If he is responding to my email account on file with Yola - it is down. How do I connect with him to understand what to do?

I went through the steps. I'm still down. How long will this take?

Hi Christine,
I just checked the domain and the site is up and published for me. Can you try clearing your browser's cache and then go to your website again?

Let us know how this goes.

Hello Christine,

I just looked at your site and went through some pages. The wholesale page has 2 large images that take about 5 minutes to load. This will have a negative effect on your site and can even stall the download of your site, being a possible reason why it is stalling for you(?)

There are 2 parameters associated with image sizes:
  1. Image size in pixels

  2. File size in Kb

The image size is spot on but your file size is huge, nearly 3 Mb (ie 3000 kb). You need to compress the file size down to about 200 kb for each of these images. This won't visually effect the image display on your page but will speed up the load time and the viewers tolerance to look at your page. You can do this with the image editor within the site-builder or you can do it with a third party image editor such as Photoshop or whatever. It is important however to do this and only takes a minute to do.
