Website not coming up, says Warning: Smarty error

I build my site for first time and then downloaded the files. I unzipped them and uploaded them to my server. When I try to go to my site I get this warning: Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "templates/Ruby/layouts/Default/template.html" in /home6/ultimaz9/public

I read some other entries that had the same problem, but I think they were trying to change their template and I didn't. I made the site for the first time. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Please help.

Thanks

Hi Shreya
Could you do be a favor? Publish your site as a test in SynthaSite and let me know if it works ok?

Unfortunately it is difficult to figure out what the problem is if you are using a different hosting environment, but for a start let us make sure that the template works when you publish your site with us. You can always unpublish it again later if you wish.

Hi Monique,

Thanks for your help. I published the site with synthasite. Here is the link: http://ultimatedigitalempire.synthasi...
It works there but not in my hosting :(

Thanks for doing that. At least we know that it runs in our hosting environment. Could you find out if your hosting service is running PHP 5.2x or higher as this the minimum requirement.

I really encourage you to consider hosting your site with us instead. It is free and much more straightforward. In addition we can offer you full support if anything goes wrong and updating your site is a lot easier. If you host your site elsewhere you have to repeat the process each time you want to make a change to your site. Also, if something goes wrong in with the upload process it is difficult for us to help because we do not have access to your hosting environment, so you need to rely on your hosting service for support.

Thank you very much for your help. The PHP 5.2x was not running. I installed it and uploaded the site again and now it works. Thanks again.
