Hi everybody!!!

I'm working hard on my latin recipes website. I'm adding content almost every day. But I would like to have some opinios about my look and feel.

What do you think of my site? The address is http://www.mydominicanfood.com/

Thanks in advance!

Hi there Karina,

Wow, what a great site! It is so organized and looks professional but fun! I am going to come back to it the next time I am looking for a new recipe.

One thing I would suggest is adding a blog. With a blog you can update your site visitors about new recipes or anything you would like.

You can take a look at our tutorial: Blogging With Yola for more information on this.

Wow! It looks REALLY GOOD! You've done a fantastic job with all the photographs--I got hungry the minute the banner loaded! Food photography is a difficult thing and you've done it really well. Nice job.

P.S. a few typos but that's just the old proofreader in me :)

I agree! This looks fantastic! And it's making me hungry...I am definitely going to try some of those recipes.

One idea might be to take more large photos of your food and use a different banner image on each page. The large image is very enticing so if you have more that are big, maybe try to use a few more.

You've done a great job of organizing the information and presenting it in a clean and clear-cut way.

Congrats on a great looking site!

Thank you very much for your opinions. To tell you my story short, when I first decided to build a website, I bought a 10 days course that cost me $300 with domain name and all the tools to build a site. I built a pretty nice one in spanish, but If I wanted to keep it I had to pay $300 every year. So I decided to look for better options for me. I found Yola and all I can say is that IT'S AMAZING all the tools we have available to build a good looking site.

From my first experience at least I learned a lot about how to organize myself with my ideas, about brainstorming, design, html codes, seo, etc. Building my latin recipes website has been much easier for me and an interesting adventure.

The blog idea is a great one, I'm just waiting to have 30 pages of content, so I can move on to other stuff. I'll check Blogging With Yola and definitely I will have a blog in my site soon. The photos are dishes that I've cooked for my family. They are the ones that says if the recipe is good or not. ;-)) I'm gonna try to do like a picture gallery of recipes with big images (great idea, by the way), so my visitors can see my food much better. About the typos, spanish is my first language, but I'm gonna ask my husband to read all my pages.

Thank you very, very much for all your support and opinions. The people in this forum are really friendly.
