What do you think of my new logo and banner???

Although I liked the honey bee I needed a more focused logo so I spent the last 3 hours putting this together and I do believe it's a winner but I thought to get the opinions of my fine fellow site builders and company reps...

My new logo is more ideally suited to my company name and product than is a bumble bee I feel...

What do you think???

Thanks in advance and happy site building

Nice job, bra! love the logo and new buttons. Looks a lot less cluttered now. The pealing corner is way cool.

I thought you might like it and I was right. Coming from someone in your profession that a good thing to hear...

Hmmm less cluttered huh. Thanks man. LOL the menu was changed to a flash menu a while ago to cut out on many individual image buttons which all took too much time to load and the flash is 1/20th the size and much faster and does not hold the page load up and does a few dozen small images.

I will be working on a tutorial soon for the page peel...

yeah... you know how I am about blank space :) (sorry... no offense meant) You can never have too much... unless it's between your ears. I really like that all the buttons show before the page break - less is more!
Peace, bra.

Hi Ed
Looks great, can you tell us more about this peeling corner ? how to etc.
Keep up the good work
The graffics on the main picture look fantastic.

Are you worried about the ads at the top though ? will they earn you enough revenue to justify having them shadowing your work ? curious

Hi Jason

The Page peel was an interesting challenge to make work but I am usually up for the good fight.;) I will be writing a tutorial on how to make it work with Synthasite sometime next week. I still have to work out the bugs on how to make it visible in other browsers as Firefox is the only one it presently works in and I would like it to be seen by all. Gimme a little while and you and anyone else who wishes can use it as well. As usual my tutorial will be in layman's terms and easy for anyone to do it themselves...

Glad you like the graphics as it's all about attention getting in this business and as the market is down the drain so to speak I have to make my site fresh and unlike another. I am still working on it ;)

Concerning the ads I can only say that as my site is trying to compete with multi-million dollar companies and I have spent under $100 to get my site as you see it (not including the business side of it) I can say that I am very pleased. A good percentage of my key words and some that I never thought of place me on the first page on searches. In some cases I have been able to beat out millions and some tens of millions of other sites. Not bad for 3 months huh? I add new content in hopes that the keywords that I am beyond the 5th page on will rise to the top. Just recently I had one that was on the 35th page of google and within 2 weeks I was on page 8 then weeks later I am on page 5. It's a game of creating content that the webcrawlers like and in the time between now and the end of the recession I hope to always be on those golden few first pages and my site be seen by millions monthly.

I am in a market which needs new blood because 95% of the playhouses out there are the same cookie cutter storage shed playhouses that are to me so very inadequate and to put it plainly sad... If you were to look at toy companies, many playhouse companies and professionally built sites there are a good amount of advertising and they fill their site with it to gain the extra buck. My site is no different. It is meant to appear as if it wasn't built by a novice. I know that I have much room for advancement but as the market is in the state that it is the playhouse business is as a luxury something that people aren't spending their money on. Understandably so as I would be tight fisted as well. All that I can do is build and prepare my site for the inevitable return to the economy. If I can maintain my standings with many keywords and build up my product I hope that with return of the the all mighty dollar I can turn this under $5000 investment on a fledgling business into a lucrative livelihood. I am persistent if anything...

I agree that many websites don't have ads. Personal websites and many professional businesses are completely ad free and I think that's great but my site is different than others and I am wishing to present that side. Advertising if done right can be a positive for a site and not only earn an extra dollar but make a site seem more than it is. I continue to learn and alter my site as I go and one day when I am rich (lol) I will have an ad free site but at present I require them to fill in the emptiness that comes from just beginning a new career.

As to ads overshadowing my work. Hmmm they have become part of my work so I consider them most beneficial and fun in choosing which goes where. When you have near 1000 different companies to choose from it can be a game to see which ones you think will look good and benefit my site as well a make money.

Thanks for answering my question and do look out for a tutorial very soon on how to make the page peels work with Synthasite.

Happy site building

It looks great! I like how you changed the yellow color of the font to a more subdued golden color. I also like the roof over the "H" in Honey. Very creative. Just to let you know - you have a typo at the very top. It says "Website building resounces" and I think you meant "resources." The houses are beautiful too by the way...

Hi cmolinar

Thanks for your great comments. They were as I had hoped and make me happy that I did the change over from old to new.

BTW... Thanks for the typo catch. I was working on 24 hours with no sleep and I am far from perfect... ;)

Happy site building

Ed,
thanks for that, your 24 hours a day binge was worth it ! really does look great and please don't think i was being critical because i wasn't. Will look out for your page peel tutorial. If you get chance do one on adding favicons as well because Ive followed 6 different methods so far and its still not there.

Keep up the good work and i wish you big success with your venture.
