Hi, Brian,

I can certainly understand your frustration. I'm sure you have put a lot of time and effort into your site and would like it to be found on the search engines. I can assure you; however, that getting into search engines does not require any payment to us.

There are many Yola sites that perform well in the search engines, but this has to do with time and effort that is put into search engine optimization (SEO); and not the Sitebuilder itself. The Yola Sitebuilder provides areas for adding Google Webmaster verification code, title description and keywords meta tags; as well as ways to optimize your text and images.

Yola has also put together a great deal of documentation to help you with SEO, here is what we have for you:

1. We have a series of short SEO Tutorials which will bring you through the various aspects of planning, building and promoting your site with SEO in mind. Here is a link: SEO Tutorials http://www.yola.com/tutorials/categor....
2. Verify your site with Google Webmaster and submit a sitemap: Google Webmaster Tutorial http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article....
3. Each time you make a change to your site, you can Tweet the changes to your Twitter account. This is a great way to encourage more traffic to your site. Here is a link: Tweet your new site or your recent changes http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/twi....
4. Watch a webinar on Introduction to SEO where we will bring you through the various ways to optimize your site in the Yola Site Builder. Here is a link: Yola.tv http://www.yola.tv/.
5. Analyze your site traffic and how your visitors behave while on your site with Google Analytics. Here is a link: Google Analytics Tutorial http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article....

Search engine optimization is something that takes time and effort, and is not a quick process; it's something that you will want to work on before, during and after you publish your website. Take your time going through these resources; we hope you find them helpful. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need any help with this!

Thanks for responding so quickly Diane, but I did EVERYTHING that Yola told me to do several months ago and I still don't see my site on ANY search engine. How long does it normally take? I guess I'll have to find a cheap site to get a web page since obviously the free ones don't work! -Brian Herron

FWIW, it took Google a solid three months, and possibly more, to find my Yola site. And then, one day, there it was. And it has been on Google ever since.
