What if your site has only 5-6 pages?

If your site has only 5-6 pages, can you still sign up for Google AdSense and become an Amazon.com affiliate? I've been working on my main site daily for four months, but its 40 pages are still not ready for launch. It's become very frustrating. :-( What if I hive off about 5-6 pages from the main site and set them up as a separate site? One of my goals when I started out 4 months ago was to learn about Google AdSense and Amazon.com Associates. Will I be able to learn about them using just this small site? (Of course, I'll keep working on my bigger site but it won't be ready for another 2-3 months. In the meantime, I'd like to learn about these other things. Later I'll probably merge the small site back into the main site.)

Hi Keara

Hopefully other people who use Adsense and Amazon can comment on this more intelligently than I can. I haven't used either of these programs myself so I am not sure what their requirements are. My advice would be to simply try and submit a 5-6 page site with your best content and see what happens.

Does anyone else have more information for Keara about the Adsense and Amazon program requirements?

Hi Keara,
I adsense will accept you.
But remember that there are somethings to know before using Adsense.

First, make sure that Google can verify your site ownership. Google recently announced about a DNS verification which give the main domain owner to get ownership of EVERY its subdomains. I looked up Yola DNS at DNSmadeeasy.com , but there are no such DNS records.

The second point is Google Analytics. Add Google Analytics to every possible page so it will decrease your approval awaiting time.

If you have a Blogger account, use it to apply for Adsense. You can use the publisher ID to add ads for other sites.(its too faster)

good luck!

Sigh. It seems like everything is so difficult. There are obstacles everywhere, as near as I can tell. I purchased a domain name for my main site. Haven't even tried to use it yet because I can't face what I'm sure will be a lot of frustration in getting everything to work as it's supposed to. I'd like to try out Google AdSense, but apparently that's just another obstacle course. Hmmm, silver linings seem to be in rather short supply today. Anybody have one they can spare? :-)

Most people using Yola put ads on their site. Keara, why don't you give a try ?

Submit the application today, and you will get(I wish) approval within 5 days. If you aren't approved , you will get the reason to it
