what kind of alternatives are there to php. i am making a contact page that would allow anyone who views the site to contact me, but their questions and email would be sent to my inbox directly through my website using php. is there another way i can make this happen in synthasite?
I think Wufoo has a solution for you.
Wufoo offers both free and paid options, so you can select the option that is right for you. When someone fills in your form their message will be stored in your Wufoo account and you will receive an email alert to let you know that you have a new message.
You will find the Wufoo widget in the "Forms" folder in the Content sidebar in SynthaSite.
After dragging and dropping a Wufoo widget onto your page in SynthaSite, click on the link in the dialogue box. Then sign up for an account with them if you have not already done so.
Then follow these steps on Wufoo:
1. Select the form you wish to use.
2. Click on save form.
3. The form manager will open up.
4. Click on "Notifications" - enter your details as to where you wish the info to get sent to (ie. your email address).
5. Click on "Save".
6. Click on "Save settings"
7. Click on "Code"
8. Copy the code and then and paste it into the Wufoo widget dialogue box in SynthaSite.
Your Wufoo form will then be embedded on your page and you can begin collecting information from your visitors directly from your website.
