What to do when Facebook does not displaying images imported from your blog?

I've just spent what seems like too long trying to link up all my social networking stuff to one another, most of it's been fine, but I really struggle with Facebook. Which is odd, as I thought that would be the easy one. My blog gets shifted across, which is great, but it doesn't display the images. There is just a blank box with a grayed out camera in it with a line through saying invalid URL no image. My site is www.facebook/aclassdriving

Ive attached an image to perhaps help out with diagnosing what's wrong.

I look forward to hearing from you all

Hello Will

Is the only picture on the blog page of your Yola website ithe banner image? Facebook doesn't display the banner image, but only pictures of your website's body area.

If you enter the URL to your "Rates" page into Facebook, you will see that all of your nine pictures of this page will be displayed to choose from, but not the banner image.

I'm sorry that the way Facebook deals with this is beyond Yola's control.

If your blog is not on your Yola website, we won't be able to assist you with this, but the reason for not diplaying images may be similar.

I dont think Ive explained clearly. In my blog post I include an image. When that post gets uploaded to facebook, that image is supposed to be lifted and brought in too. At the moment, there is just a blank box next to the text, in facbook, saying no image, incorrect url.

In the screen grab above, there should be a photo next to each blog post, which relates to the story. One is a cartoon about fuel prices, the other a photo of a motorway/freeway.

It's not a banner issue, or anything to do with rates pages etc.

How can I fix this issue, if at all? So basically what Im trying to ask, in a very long winded way, is how to get my blog post images into my facebook, automatic importing, blog section? Does that make sense?

Thanks in advance

Hello Will

Yes, that makes sense, and I was considering the option you explained in my response above. Did you create your blog with Yola, or with a different provider? If it's a Yola blog on your website, can you please provide the URL to the page (because I couldn't find any Yola blog on your website by spot-checking)?

If your blog is with a different provider, the last thing I said in my previous response applies. It would then make sense to say who you have your blog with and provide the URL to your blog. Hopefully other users who also use this blog provider and Facebook will be able to help you further.

Hi again

My blog is with yola. http://www.a-class-driving.com/bristo...

It's not the easiest thing to find on the home page. Should make it bigger really.

Hello Will

Thank you for providing the link to your Yola blog – It's a good idea to make it more visible.

Now your question makes much more sense to me. I tried to add the URL to your blog (http://www.a-class-driving.com/bristo...) into Facebook, and for me it displayed the picture which is included in your latest blog post. Are you sure you posted the direct URL to your blog into Facebook? Here is a screenshot for your reference:

Did you use a different URL?

Facebook does not always know what image to show and sometimes it will not show any. You have many images on your page that carry over from adding them to you main blog page.....FB and Google+ will see many of the feed badges you show to the far right as images. I have had some of mine show on FB and ended up having to choose no thumbnail. Seems very random as sometimes it will pick up the image I want.

That's what it should look like, I've just had a look and it looks like this to me

I tried in a different browser and the same. :(

I use the main ... only page I'm aware of in yola as the URL. I just don't quite know the correect language here. It's ... linked/working with NetworkedBlogs, which tells me that it's all synced in fine and working.

Should I try a different ... blog host? Is that the right term? So bring it into Facebook with someone other than NetworkedBlogs.

It's also linked to twitter. When I post in yola, twitter picks it up too and displays the articles. Could this get in the way some how?

Hi Kan

Thanks for the input. I can see how it could look confusing. Is there a way around it? Say if it uploads from Yola to somewhere else, a hosting site with no other images, then bring it into Facebook from there? Or from my twitter section?

Thanks again for the help

I've been back to Facebook and have looked at the posts brought across from Yola. Some times the images are present in Facebook, some times they arent. I can't work out why this is. Does anyone have an idea?

Hello Will

I'm afraid that I won't be able to tell you much more than what has been said on this thread. Facebook is a bit unpredictable with showing pictures, and I hope for your understanding that I cannot assist you much with regard to a blog hosted by another provider and added to your Yola website. Have you tried to contact their support for help? I'm sorry that I'm at my wits' end on this one.

That's ok Stefan. I only asked you guys as I knew I'd get a quick, easy to understand response. You've always been able to help with my website issues. I've had another look and some pictures are still there, and some arent ... maybe it's an image size thing? In their FAQ they mention something to do with skipping images that aren't big enough. However, some of my images did appear for a short time, then magically disappeared.

I will contact them and ask. Thanks for your input Stefan.
