Whatever happened to the preview button?

When I started using Yola I used to work switching between the back end and the front end of the site. The front end was what I used to check that what I had loaded was working on all my browsers. Now I don't seem to be able to bring up the site by clicking on the "preview" button. Has anything changed or what??

Thanks for producing a really good website producing tool - almost foolproof and wish I could learn how to do HTML which is still necessary!

Hello David,

Yes, there has been changes. We recently made a change to how our "Preview" functions. Instead of having it open in a new window, it now opens up in the same window, and there is a "Close" button that allows you to easily return to the Sitebuilder to carry on editing your site. This change was made after extensive usability testing in which we found that most users expected it to work this way and were surprised and confused when it opened in a new window.

However, if you prefer the old way and would like to view your site preview in a new tab, here is what you can do:

1. Right click on the "Preview" link.
2. Select "Open link in new tab."

I hope this helps. We will pass any feedback on to our Product team who will consider further changes if appropriate, but in the meantime we hope these options will satisfy the most number of users.
