When I click on a text widget all its contents is deleted

I create a page and then insert a text widget and edit the contents. When I log out, and then log back in, and open the page --> it displays the text widget with its contents. The moment that I click on the text widget it seems to delete the text widget with all its contents and it replaces it with a blank text widget.

Is this problem unique to me? I cannot find any thing remotely compared to it elsewhere on this forum.

Yes, has anyone else out there experienced this? So far Gadfly is the only person to report it as far as I know, but if anyone else comes across it, please mention it here or e-mail support@synthasite.com with a description of the problem.

OK guys, while Brent is applying his mind to debugging this problem, here is a workaround. It is a bit of a tedious one, but at least it allows you to safely edit your text boxes:
When you come into the the site builder, drop a new text widget and add some random text. You can then go in and safely edit the other widgets without your text vanishing. (Don't forget to delete the "nonsense" text box before you republish!)

Hi joyousjam

We are still working on this particular bug. It is VERY trying for our users, and we are trying our best to exterminate it!!

Meanwhile, please note that dropping a new text widget and adding random text (to be deleted later) prevents you from losing text in your other widgets.

Thank you so much for your patience and for the very valuable feedback you are providing. We hope to have things working smoothly soon.

Hi Wayne

Thanks a million. You are right that it is specific to Firefox (does not occur in IE or any other browser that we are aware of), but the user who reported it here is using an Ubuntu box, so it is not specific to Windows.

I was unable to replicate the problem on my work machine with OSX and Firefox, but I was getting it consistently on my PC at home. So I brought my box in this morning and showed it to the team. At least now they have seen the bug themselves but are still puzzling over what is causing it.

Please let us know what you find, as your added expertise on this would certainly be useful.
