The only thumbnails which appear with published link on Facebook are from your picture widgets on a page linked to, and I am not sure if any of picture format does. Say, *.png might not appear. Also, it is not an instant effect. You should wait to the next day usually, then publish your link on Facebook and see all the thumbnails to choose from.

Are you positive your pictures are in the picture widgets, not in banners or such?

Bingo! Picture Gallery won't work in this matter. Only Picture Widget.

so for every page i publish, i need to include a solo photo alongside my gallery, kinda disappointing. I'll give it a bash, rearrange page, see if it fits,
Thanks.
Pete.

Peter, wouldn't it be simpler to upload your pictures onto Facebook separately with URL in comments?

Cheers Ben,
Facebook images aren't too good.
Plus I want my donkey to pull my cart!

Site updates, icon link to facebook share, why bother with it, May as well just run a facebook page and stop paying Yola!

EVERY other king of link attaches a thumbnail. Why not yola?

It attaches too, just somehow randomly, skipping most obvious pictures sometimes, and catching insignificant to our eye HTML banner instead :) Weird world. Also, I believe it's rather FB mess than Yola's.

I live with thumbnails I am getting on FB. And then in case they are really out of a theme I meant, me simply upload picture manually. Done deed, no fuss. Irish coffee time.

Hello Peter

Ben is right that it is Facebook which decides how pictures of a website can be picked up. You will have this problem with other sites as well. With the Picture Widget you should be good to go.

When and how Facebook picks up pictures displayed under a link you add on Facebook is unfortunately beyond Yola's control.

I just had a play and I needed to drop the '.php' from the url for the picture widget to work..
So a picture widget needed for each page I want to promote....
Kinda screws up my clean ordered site but ...... It's not my biggest concern in life!
thanks for the reply.

Great! I'll try it too.

Also, try ***.php/ with "/" at the end of any URL as it opens all content on page.
