I am a newbie but have learned quickly that there is more to making a really nice website than "drag and drop". There are some gorgeous sites here on SynthaSite and I wonder how much one really has to know to create a site worth publishing. I have a Web Design book and have found lots of information on line. I can even write some html code. Where do I go from here to accelerate the learning curve to get me to a point when I can start putting a worhwhile site together? Thanks!!

Hello Rex,
That is a great question! Synthasite does want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to build a nice website; although it sounds like you are wanting to learn more about web design. You are doing the right thing by learning all you can from the web design book that you have, and knowing some html is surely helpful.

From here I would say that you should take a look at our tutorials to see if there is anything you can glean from there; you will find a host of good information there that will help you. And then just keep learning and researching ways to improve your site. There are many users that participate here in the forum that have great ideas and that will be happy to help you.

Please let us know if we can assist you further while you build your site.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
