Where is mobile publishing at?

We were advised that Custom code and HTML widgets content have been pulled from Mobile Publishing due to some issues that appeared in the development of this facility.

The projected advice was that it would be returned fixed in a couple of weeks(?). I guess the fix is either difficult or re-prioritised, so wondering if we can have an update and how this facility will eventually work with things like HTML widgets content and custom fonts etc?

Hey Gop

Engineer Pete here :)

I'm the guy that made the though call to turn off HTML widgets in mobile sites - It was breaking a lot of peoples sites quite badly, turning it off was the quickest way of fixing the problem for them in the short term. I'm sorry that it ended up breaking things for you and that I couldn't solve it in a way that made everyone happy initially. We now have a plan that we hope will cover everyone.

We're going to add a checkbox to the HTML widget's editing dialog that will allow you to 'Enable in Mobile & Facebook'.

Actually building this feature won't take too long, but unfortunately it can't be released for a few weeks because we're working on something pretty important that is taking priority. As soon as we've released what we're working on now, we'll roll out a fix for this. I'm really sorry about the delay, but I hope when you see what we've been working on, it'll be worth the wait.

Thanks for highlighting this for us. I agree, this is an important issue.
