Hello reptileparty

Here's a really great resource for you to start learning about HTML coding:
w3schools.com

I'm sure others will chime with other great suggestions as well.

these are all good sources, but what I like to do is find a source (such as suggested above) read as much as you can and if at anytime you don't understand something, search google for that one term as some sources don't explain things too good! Google is your friend! :)

Hey reptileparty (and other aspiring website buiders)

I'd recommend www.htmldog.com. It's a practical, hands-dirty approach to working with HTML (and later CSS), and with the added benefit of teaching you about Web Standards.

I started my work with HTML using a Sams "Teach yourself HTML" textbook, but that was a long time ago. Now we've got a wealth of information available from your friend Google (as Donald so rightly says) :)

Happy travels in markup,
Shaun

And if you're willing to spend a little bit of cash (a few dollars) you can find more professional options by finding a published book from Ebay or Amazon. I'm looking to purchase a PHP and MySQL book for dummies for $7 after shipping!

I advise you to search on google with the keyword HTML tutorial. This will result in a huge list.
