Which templates will only show the sub menus below the banner?

After several frustrating weeks, I've now picked up the fact that some of the premium menus (and others possibly, I don't know) will not show the sub menu underneath the top menu, but display it below the banner image.

I have been asking about how to change banner sizes and why I couldn't see the sub menu for a while, and now at last I understand why - Juicy Fruit, which my website is designed around, doesn't allow the sub menu to be seen.

Please can you provide me with a list of the templates which will only show the sub menu below the banner, before I start designing again.

Thanks

Hi debbym

This is a very good question. We are checking into the styles that creates the sub-menus immediately underneath the main menu and will get back to you with a list of the styles that do this.

Please note that when viewing the sub-menus, you won't see these as you are building the site. You will see them when you click on the page that has sub-pages, in Preview mode and on the published site.

We'll get back to you with more information on the styles, soon.

Thanks Nazlie.

I've been working on my Juicy Fruit based website for some 3 weeks now.

On 4 September I was thrown a bit of a curved ball when I contacted Support to ask why I couldn't see sub menus - see response below, which doesn't give any hint about the Juicy Fruit template - or that you have to see it in preview - it just says Sitebuilder or published.

"Most likely the reason why your submenu pages are not displaying is because they have been "hidden" from the navigation menu.

What you need to do is go to Page > Page Manager and beside the submenu pages, you'll see a red X. This indicates that your page is being hidden. You need to click on the red X and toggle it back to a green checkmark.

Once you have selected the pages to be shown, click on "OK".

You should now see your submenu feature working in your Sitebuilder. Please be sure to click on the "Publish to the web" button to apply these changes to your live site."

I knew I had already done the sub menu correctly but what I couldn't work out was why I couldn't see them underneath the main menu but the banner instead. So I kept on ploughing on with Juicy Fruit.

I queried it again on 6 September, thinking I could work round it with drop down boxes, and got the same answer that I was probably not doing the navigation properly. Completely stumped I went to the topics and worked my way through all the pages.

Having stumbled across the fact that some of the sites actually do this deliberately I feel quite relieved that I wasn't being completely thick.

When this query is answered, I hope it will save a lot of people time and frustration - inlcuding Dave who asked the question last month. Please let Diane in support know too as she is was too busy to look at this query until next week, and I wouldn't want her to waste her time.

Hi Nazalie
This topic is showing as answered - when it is not. I'm looking forward to being advised which ones of the templates are able to show menus and submenus together.
Thanks

Hello debbym,

The "answered" topic indicates that you have received a response on this thread - not that it necessarily resolves the issue. We are still working up a list for you that will show which ones have the menu and submenu together.

Thanks for your patience.

Hello!

Any answer to this please? I'm trying to design a website and working in the dark about what which one of the designs to use. I'm a Yola Silver client, I paid for the extra premium sites.

Surely you must have SOME idea of which sites will show the the menu and submenu together now. Pleeeezzzzz

OK - 1 more day isn't going to make much difference to launching my website I guess. It's only my livelihood when all's said and done.

Hi debbym

Please accept my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I had not forgotten about it, but we decided it would be a good idea to create a tutorial about this which is why it took a bit longer than expected. As you mentioned, other people may find it useful.

So here is the tutorial: Submenus on Premium Styles. This is a list of all Premium styles and where you will find the sub-menu on each one.

Hope this is what you had in mind. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Once again, apologies for the delay.
