Is there a way for me to check who is subscribing to my RSS feeds or at minimum the number of subscribers?

Hi Grace,

Feedburner is probably what you're looking for: http://www.feedburner.com/. It allows you analyze the traffic - how many subscribers you have and where they're coming from.

These are the steps:
1. Go to the above URL and register
2. Enter your current RSS feed (you can get it by right-clicking on the RSS feed link on your website and then clicking on 'copy')
3. Edit the name (if you like) and click on 'Next'
4. Copy the URL provided on the next page, it would look something like: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/ synthasite/tmin
5. Back on your blog, replace your current RSS feed link with the one provided by Feedburner. You can do this by using the text widget and the link editor in the text toolbar or creating a link on an image - whichever you prefer.
6. Republish your site

To check your stats, you'll need to login to Feedburner. If you need more help understanding how it works, they have a great support page available here: http://www.google.com/support/feedbur...

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks, Marije!

I'll give this a try in the next few days. I'm glad there are better solutions available.

Thank you Marije for this helpful description of how to use FeedBurner!

Using FeedBurner, I'm able to see how many people subscribe to my feed (and other info, including what browsers they're using, etc).

I was also able to change the title of my feed from 'index' to something more descriptive.
