Why are banners still set to load last?

I spoke to a couple of Synthasite folks a few weeks ago about this issue concerning banners mistakenly being set to load last, after all other images. At that time it was agreed that this was a fault and needed fixing by Synthasite Techies. I haven't heard anything since, and the banners still load last. BASIC WEB DESIGN: BANNERS SHOULD ALWAYS LOAD FIRST!
Is this going to be fixed soon? It really is an annoying deficiency.

Cheers,
Paul

Do you mind posting your URL. so i can look at your site and see if there isn't a bad code that may interfere.

Sure, it's www.aconitejewellery.synthasite.com

I was assured at the time it was Synthasite's issue and one that had been targeted for addressing. Like I said, I was told that banners have been set to load last, nothing to do with my site or anyone else's. So I'm assuming that banners load last for everyone...?

Hi Paul...
I have checked nothing on your site is loading faster than the other. The load priority are at the recommended settings... If you want you can email synthasite at support@synthasite.com
Just incase... Just allow around 24hrs for a reply

Well strangely, over here (Australia) the banners load only after all other images have loaded first on that page - unless that particular banner has already appeared once and is 'cached'. This has been tested on various computers in different locations. Identical result.

Alright, I'll email them again. Curious that for you everything loads normally...banners first. Thanks.

Well to put you in the picture, if you're on say the Bridal page for the first time, you wait quite a few seconds before the banner appears - it's just a black bar until then. And it's a similar case with some of the Pandora Bracelet Beads pages - only after all those beads have loaded does the banner appear. Last, always last, no exceptions.

What I don't understand is being told by a synthasite employee that it is them and that it's happening because banners have been set by them to load last. That sounds pretty black and white to me.

Well i never noticed that... i waited 5min of that page all i saw was that black thick border line. I am with unwired so it can't be the ISP's.... I Think you are going to have to add that to the email

5 minutes?????!!!!!!!! Are you on Broadband or dial-up?

It should come up after about 6-8 seconds max!

My bitch is that it should come up instantly.

Looks like I'll be mentioning what you've noticed for sure.

Actually, the Bracelet pages are OK, once the first one's been loaded. My memory failed me there. The issue is most noticeable on pages with lots of graphics where that page's banner has to be loaded for the first time. eg Bridal, and a couple of others.

Hi Paul

I am sorry that this has still not been addressed. I have been discussing it with our developers and once I have more feedback for you I will let you know. Please bear with us as we are a little snowed under at the moment with a deadline we are working towards. The reason for the delay from my side is that when I reply I want to give you accurate information.
