I have received an email from you saying you would be charging my account an amount to renew my domain. I just renewed my domain for 2 years in July of 2010. So I don't understand. Please explain this to me. Thank you Lynn
We definitely aren't going to charge your account to renew your domain. I believe the email you received was the one explaining our upcoming price increase. In that email, there is information about a discounted rate if you renew your domain before the price change. In addition to this, we are also offering a further 15% discount if you renew your domain before February 15 2011.
If you choose to renew your domain, the additional two years you purchase will be added on to what you already purchased. For example, if your current domain expiry date is 1 Jan 2013, if you choose to renew it now that date will be changed to 1 Jan 2015.
You are not under any obligation to renew your domain - the email is just to alert you to the upcoming price changes. We will not deduct any money from your account for this renewal. When you do need to renew your domain, you will be notified in advance and will be provided with details about how to do that.
I hope this clarifies everything - please let me know if I can help you with anything else!
