Hey all...

Anyone noticed that one is no longer able to upload a .js file to their file-manager?
I'm just building a site for the first time since changes have been made to the builder. Not sure if I like the new upload feature. Anyway, more to the point I keep getting the following error message when attempting to upload a .js (jquery) file:

"Illegal characters in file name. All uploads have been cancelled."

I attempted to rename file... nothing.

Any thoughts?

If this doesn't work, I'm outta here! I NEED to be able to add jquery sliders to my websites. Unless anyone has an alternative.. Just want 2 images fading in and out over eachother.

I wish Yola would dev a simple image fade widget... would make things so much better.

Hi mik,

Yola Free accounts are unable to upload certain files including .js files. You can learn more here.

If you are referring to a Yola Silver account, please contact us and be preapered to share your file so we can investigate further.

Hi, I emailed you guys about this and did receive an email back, stating that there is currently a bug that requires fixing when it comes to uploading .js files.

Can you give us an update please on when this might be sorted.?

Thank you.

Hello Mick

That's correct, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing you. We're busy working on it, but I hope for your understanding that I cannot make any promises timewise. Please note that it's not always necessary to use .js files (yet more comfortable). The code they contain can often be added to your other custom code which you added through HTML Widgets.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for that, appreciate the honesty.
I like using .js and it makes it a lot easier uploading a file than updating loads of HTML.

Stefan, please could you try and update the fly-over menu thread?!

Thank you,
