Hello Lynne,
What other file types are you trying to upload, there are definitely other image file types you can use such as .gif and .png. Can you tell me what other types you are trying to use and I can let you know if they can be used or not.

Hi Lynne

PDf's aren't images like we all know them. A PDF requires something other than an Image widget to allow your visitor to see them.

Here is how to upload a file such as a PDF so that people can view or download it from your site themselves:

1) Drag and drop a file widget onto your page from the sidebar on the right (the icon for this looks like a computer disk)
2) Browse your computer for a file to upload
3) When you click "ok" a link to your file will automatically be created. To test that it is working, save and preview your page.

People will then be able to click on your link and download your MS Word file, PDF, Powerpoint presentation, spreadsheet or whatever file you elect to upload.

Additionally you could also try this:

Your visitors will need the necessary plugin to access your PDF (usually Acrobat Reader)

1) Upload your PDF file to the file manager.
2) Drag and drop an HTML widget onto your page.
3) Paste the following tag into the HTML editor that opens:

<embed width="600" height="400" src="resources/test.pdf">

4) replace test.pdf with the exact filename of your file and adjust the image dimensions to fit your site

I have just checked and had no problem uploading a GIF image... Could you try once more to do the same?

Happy site building
Ed
