Hello ahmed-hashim,

I'm sorry you are upset, and understand that you are feeling frustrated.

The reason we have increased our prices for domain names is so we can offer you the best technical capabilities and excellent support. You can take a look at this post regarding the price increase for a summary of the change, as well as some feedback from other Yola supporters: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/ann....

Please let us know if you have any questions - we are here to help!

But the support you were providing beofre was fine. Why the sharp, sharp increase in price to do something which many people have no idea has happned? I personally haven't noticed an improvement in technical cababilities and support. I still need to ask yola to change my DNS and other domain settings because of a "Glitch in the system". THis is not improved technical support, this is a glitch that no one can be bothered to fix. Why don;t yola remove the page and replace it with something that says there's a glitch and to contact you? How hard would that have been? Five or ten minutes work?

Hi Will,
When we make an increase to the pricing of something it's not something that we decide on a whim, and we would like you to know that. The link that Justine shared above which gave some of the reasons for the increase are changes that we have made on the backend which no, you cannot specifically see it, but it is there. Providing the highest level of website protection and hosting is important to us. And you might not specifically be able to see this either, but the Yola Support Team is growing as well to support the growing number of Yola customers, and this team is still providing 24/7 support.

Your frustration and feelings of being let down is understood Will and we don't ever want people to feel that way. We would like you to know though that we do take a lot of things into consideration before we make changes such as these and they are not not made lightly.

The glitch that you are experiencing, is this with adding a subdomain to your site where we need to make the addition for you? We are working on this and do hope to have a fix. Until that time we will continue to make the change manually for people who need it.

Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

"And you might not specifically be able to see this either" Indeed we cannot see that. I paid twice the price this year, and 24h after contacting your support team I still cannot access my emails. How do you expect people to run a business if they are losing customers? This is not a teenager's blog, I paid for a service that I don't get. So you cannot justify this price increase, I'm afraid.

I hope not Yola has great support and there domains have never given me uphill. But still I have decided to rather get my domains through www.eleven2.com which saves me about $10p/y. But you now have to have a silver package to use non Yola domains :(

Just so everyone knows...Pretty much every company increased domain prices in July 2010.We did well in that Yola held off until recently.
