How can I get the link for my email address to come directly into my gmail inbox? Instead it goes to Outlook which I do not have and cannot get messages from.

Hello Maridelbowes

If you wish, you can try forwarding your Yola mail to another email address as follows:

1. Log in to your Yola mail account.
2. Click on "Mail" under the "Settings" tab
3. Under the "Setup" tab you will see a field marked "Forwarding" - you can enter the email address you want your email forwarded to here
4. Click on "Save" and your emails will be forwarded.

Please let me know if this does not resolve your question.

Thanks so much, Sanja. I do still have one question.
How do I access the Yola mail account?

Hi maridelbowes

You can access your Yola Mail account through MyYola. If you are in the Sitebuilder, click on MyYola. Then click on the Yola Mail link in the left-hand menu. Your Yola Mail account will display on the right. Click the blue "Check inbox" button next to your email address. This will take you to the Yola mail page.

I hope this helps! If you need more assistance, please let us know.

Thank you
Nazlie

Hi Nazlie--

I went into Yola mail but only saw an invitation to subscribe for a year.
Can I only resolve my issue by subscribing to Yola mail?
Hopefully not.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Maridel

Do you mean your link on your website? When you click your "email me" link on your website does it automatically open as Outlook on your computer?

You can rest assured that if you typed in your gmail.com address into the email box in the sitebuilder that everyone who clicks it (on your website) will be sending an email to that gmail.com email address.

Outlook is an email client program on your computer that when you click a link on any website which has an email address attached will open your Outlook which is by default your computer's email program.

One way to verify that you did everything correct is to right click on the email link on your website and select "copy email address" (or something close) and paste it into your address bar or notepad. If it shows "youremailaddress@gmail.com" then you are fine and your visitors will in fact be sending you an email at the correct address.

Could you please give us the URL to the page with your email link?

Happy site building
Ed

Thanks, Ed!
I did what you suggested above but didn't get the option you named. Just the regular "delete, paste" ect options.

Here's my URL for the contact page: http://sitebuilder.yola.com/en_US/ide...

My web addresses are evolvingjourneyastrology.com and evolvingjourney.com

Thanks so much, Ed.

Maridel you can be happy for the fact that you did everything 100% correct and that your email address at gmail is in fact correctly attached to your emaill link on your contact page.

It is like I had thought, and you simply see the outlook as that is your computer's default mail client.

To those who visit your website and have their outlook properly configured they will automatically be ale to send you an email. In addition to your email link on your contact page I would add a contact form (in addition to your reading list) with comment box to ensure that you can be reached when someone runs into the same issue as you did.

Here is how you can set up Gmail as you default mail application on your computer. It is really quite easy and if you do this then you will never again see that pesky outlook pop up again. ;)

thanks for this, Ed. I so appreciate your attentiveness.
I like your idea of setting up a contact form in addition to what I have on my contact page.
I did start to set up the Gmail default but when I read the description, I realized I didn't really understand how it would work once installed. Where is the system tray?

Hello maridelbowes - Google probably explains the system tray better than I could, take a look at this link for more information: http://www.google.co.za/search?q=syst...
