Why is it taking several tries for my sites to update?

Every website that I update, whether it is one of my larger sites or a smaller one takes 3 or 4 times for me to publish it before it updates. This happens in every browser that I use.

I have cleared my cache, history, and everything in between and it still does this. No all the time, but lately it has been doing it a lot.

Hi Christie,

Just to get a clearer picture of the problem, do you get the success message in the site-builder and the live site doesn't update, or are you having difficulty within the site-builder?

I'm positive this can be resolved soon!

I'm having this problem also. In addition, I've been invited to update the Sitebuilder about ten times in the last 15 minutes. I click to update it, but then I just get the same invitation all over again a minute later.

Thanks for getting back so quickly Christie and Keara,

I tested on one of my websites and it took a few minutes for the changes to appear, but published first time.

As for Keara's problem this sounds a bit strange and is one I've never encountered before.

Sadly I am not sure how I can help you as this sounds like a problem on Yola's side.
Best thing now is wait for an employee to come along. Sorry I cannot be of more help. I hope this problem is resolved for you soon.

John, yes, this definitely appears to be an issue on Yola's side. Some kind of hiccup with the software.

I'm having the exact same problem as Keara, I'm invited to save my work because the site builder is about to update, click OK and get the same message, after about 5/6 attempts the message finally disappears. Have Yola released an update?

me too and when i am uploading pics it keeps telling me i am going to overwrite s.jpg
but these are all new pics to this site

Hi Andreas,
Please make sure that the 'new' images you are loading to your File Manager or site do not have the same file name as any other files in your File Manager. If they are named the same, you will see an error as such.

Hi Guys,

We are experiencing a bug where there is a bit of a 'lag' time between republishing your site and the amendments to appear online. Our engineers are aware of this and are looking into it.

As for the message that is appearing, I am unable to replicate that on my site. If any of you see it again, please take a screenshot and share it on this forum. Doing this will allow us to look further into this with you.

This message certainly sounds like it could be an inconvenient if it is appearing repeatedly and I am hopeful that with a bit more information, such as a screenshot of the message, we will be able to locate a fix. Thanks!

i have been getting that 2. i have to keep on pressing it to get rid of it. it can be annoying but right now my friend is laughing cos he thinks it;s funny by pressing it over and over again lol

can you still edit pics ok with picnic cuz i can't i get the old "Woops we can't get your pic " thing. i have cleared my cache and all that but still have the problem

Yep, that's it. I have gotten it as many as 3-4 times in a row, one after the other, within seconds of each other. (That is -- message; click to save; message reappears; click to save; message appears again; etc.)

Thanks for sharing the screenshot, this sounds hectic and am very sorry you are experiencing it. I have tried again to replicate it on my end and am unable to. Please try to clear your cache. Here's how: clear your browser's cache. If clearing your cache doesn't work, please share the browser version and types you are using.

i have tried with fire fox and safari 5.0.3
i have been using these the whole time with why the problem now?
i have cleared my cash. i am getting a little stressed with this i feel a beer coming on

this is to much yola has a problem:- Let me try to explain what has happened now i have just uploaded loads of pics and now i for some reason all my items i have been putting on for the last 4 hours are all showing a 50-50 split of just 2 pics whats going on i hope you understand what i am saying (i didn't have that beer) but for some reason the site builder has taken it upon its self to change most of my pics to 1 of 2 different pics where just 5 mins ago there were 15 different ones now there are just 2 just in random order

and yes they did all have different names when i started uploading i name them all the same as the plant for sale

As the picture error you are experiencing does not relate to this thread, please post a new thread. Our engineers are working hard on a fix for the Sitebuilder Update message you folks are seeing and I would love to keep each individual case separate. Thank you

i now see that for some reason it is renaming my pics and calling them all "s" (that is the last letter in all of these pics the pic names are plant-name-flower (if flower)
plant-name-b/s (if plant for sale)

We will be more then happy to look into the picture issue you are facing and really do appreciate all of the help you have been with the 'Sitebuilder Update' message.
