OK, here we go with another problem...

My CEO is telling me my website was this week-end long (and is still long) to load on mobiles. Taking for ever. What is going on? My site : www.eduquatrepattes.ca . My theme: Cleanslate. By the way, my site is not optimized for mobiles because the layout looks very, very bad... Waiting for an answer! Thanks!

Hi Michel,

It appears that you haven't set up Mobile Publishing on your site, which is why it is not optimized for mobile. As you are a Silver subscriber this feature is available to you and is easy to set up!

1. Hover your mouse over the "Publish" button
2. From the drop-down box, click "configure" next to Mobile Phone Publishing.

The following mobile features are available:

- You can change your header's background color and font, to differentiate it from your non-mobile-optimized site.
- One-touch buttons:
> You can add a button for customers to call you instantly, without having to scroll through your site.
> You can add a Map button to display a map to your business, making it easier for customers to find you.
- You can choose whether to display your site's banner image on your mobile-optimized site.

3. Next to the Mobile Publishing heading, tick the "Enable" box.
4. Click "Save" to save your changes.
5. Click Publish and both versions of your site will be published automatically.

Let us know if you require any assistance with this and we will be happy to help.

As I told you and the post you deleted, the mobile publishing with this theme doesn't look good at all. I use CleanSlate. I need a better solution!

Hi Michel

I'm sorry that you aren't happy with the way your Style Template displays on Mobile Publishing. As Mobile Publishing needs to work with each Style Template we have, it currently comes in a standard form that works better with some Styles than with others. The good news is that improving Mobile Publishing and making it more responsive and customizable is on our roadmap (however, I won't be able to give you a timeframe right now).

You may want to consider changing your Style Template to one of our recommended ones, Skyline or Super Flat, and then disabling Mobile Publishing. These Styles are already quite responsive and their web versions look good on smartphones. With both Styles, you can either create a very basic or very sophisticated site design, so if you like the basic concept of CleanSlate, you could also achieve this with Skyline or Super Flat. Please view this real Yola website on a smartphone to see an example for Skyline.
