Hi Earl

Have you just recently published your site?  Please note that if you have, it can take a few weeks or sometimes months for your site to be indexed by the search engines.  Search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo!  will crawl through your site once they are aware that you have published your site.  When they do this, you will be able to search for your website using the search functions on search engines. Unfortunately, this indexing process is something that the search engines do and is beyond our control even if you have paid for the Yola Silver package.  Until such time that your website is indexed, visitors will need to enter your website address into the browser window or click on a link that takes them to your website.

Please have a look at this helpful article on our website: Getting your site indexed by the search engines.  For more information about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), please see the full range of articles, here: Promotions, SEO, Traffic and Advertising.

If you have more questions about getting your site indexed, please let us know and someone will be able to answer you questions here.

Thank you
Nazlie

You have to go to each of the search engines and make sure that you embed the code in the right places and verify them. You then need to hook it up with Google Analytics as well and there is place in site properties to put the code.

The tutorials that Yola have are really good.

The only thing you want to make sure of when you submit to Yahoo is to take the www off the front end. submit as :htttp://nameofsite.xxx. Once I did that and verified the site it was found by Yahoo.

If you want your site to be found "up in top" you need to invest time in SEO on the site using the Page headings, description and keywords. Be sure to use lots of links into your site and even though I have done it all - you usually need to buy Adwords on Google. My keywords due to my company (consulting) are very general and even though have embedded locations - I will still need to do this.

Hope this helps.
