Hi KK,

Here are some possible reasons why your ads do not show.

* When you first paste the code the ads might not show up. They can take a short while to be initialized by Google. Wait a few minutes and then click the "Refresh Page" button. This should cause the ads to display.
* Did you copy the complete code that Google Ads provided you with? Try copying and pasting it again (delete the original code first).
* Is your site published? Google will not be able to index your site until it is published and this might be a reason why the ads are not displaying.

If this does not solve your problem, please could you post your URL and let us know which page the ads are supposed to appear on so that we can take a look.

Hi KK,

I see the problem you describe, could you let me know what URL you used with Google Adsense when you signed up with them? Was it your published site URL or the preview URL when you click on the Preview button?

Could you also try deleting the hit counter to see whether that is interfering with the Ads at all.

yeah.. im deleting hit counter now..

i have started with a blogger url.. http://dreamgirlkatrina.blogspot.com..it was my published site.
have some other yolasite...http://amirkhan4u.yolasite.com...but ads are showing there quite nicely...

i do not check the preview on the ads..simply generate the code from adsense and then paste it to the yolasite page.

have facing this problem with http://deshigirl.yolasite.com...

please check these site which are from my same adsense account..

Hi KK,

Can you do 2 things for me to see if we can get it displaying?

1. First sign into your adsense account and look for any errors or warnings.

2. While in your adsense account click 'adsense setup' make a new advert and just add the code straight into a html widget (or a text widget using the html function) into your Yola site.

* Then republish your site... wait 20 minutes and see what that does.
* Remember to delete the existing adverts first.

Lee.

thats just the preview page - shouldnt be a problem - go ahead and try step 2. Add the code to a html widget and just go straight to the update button. (i.e. dont preview)

Hi KK,

It looks like google adsense can't find any content on your site to show ads and instead it's showing a solid colour, which is a setting you can pick.

Maybe add more content to the page before adding your adsense code and it might show up.

Hey KK,

You can check and see if this is it:

See in the highlighted box. On your adsense ad setup, change 'fill space with solid colour' to 'show public service ads'.

This will allow you to see if this is the problem

that sounds like the most likely suggestion. But if you made a new ad it shouldnt be defaulting on that selection.... unless it remebers settings from previous adverts. I hope it is this.

Great support Lee and Connor!

KK,
I am on board with Lee and Connor, the ads are not showing because there is no content on the page for the ads to pull a topic from, and the blue is showing because you have chosen to fill with a solid color when Google can't display any relevant ads.

What you need to do is put some written content on the page and then Google will be able to display ads that match the content on the page.

Let us know how this goes for you.
