I am reporting that you do not recognise my email even though you have sent me several emails. Here are my questions
(i) If I opt for a Yola Silver site can I create a background & design and place my own banner image?
(ii) What security measure exists for my debit card number; do you keep it on file or must I submit it for renewal purposes?
(iii) Does Silver include hosting and search engine submission charges?
(iv) I'm presently writing my site text. Can I compose and transfer on an InDesign html file or is it better as Microsoft Word - I don't have Office on my Vista Premium?

I. Yes....here is my site with my own background and banner...http://kanthaidecor.com ......really endless possibilities

II.I am sure Yola staff will answer

III.Hosting is free and most of us do our own search engine submits. The main ones you need are Google/Bing and Yahoo...all are free and easy to submit to including sitemap.xml submissions that Yola creates for us as we build our pages.

IV.Be very careful and never ever ever paste to your site from word or any other rich text editor....They are designed for printers and part of the printer code ends up on your site....Can totally mess up your site.
What most of us do that have a PC is to write our text in Word or whatever editor you have then paste it into notepad....then copy from notepad and paste on your site....This gets rid of the unwanted code.

Hello tiffinroyale,

I'm sorry if you feel haven't received an appropriate reply from us and I hope I can help.

In addition to John's comments (and there will be some repetition here!):

(i) If I opt for a Yola Silver site can I create a background & design and place my own banner image?
You can do this whether you have a free account or have upgraded to Yola Silver. It depends on which style you've chosen (not all of them provide this capability). You can find more on this link: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article....

(ii) What security measure exists for my debit card number; do you keep it on file or must I submit it for renewal purposes?
All payments made on Yola are secure and are kept to the standard expected of payments being made online.

Currently Yola only accepts credit cards or payments via PayPal. You can use a debit card, credit card or bank transfer when you choose the PayPal option. If you don't have a PayPal account, then please see their website for more information: www.paypal.com.

(iii) Does Silver include hosting and search engine submission charges?
Free hosting is included whether you use a free account or a Silver one, this link is probably useful to you: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article.... Or perhaps information on what is included in Yola Silver: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article....

Search engine submission is something that you are able to take care of. We provide you with areas to optimize your site for search engine submission and we also have a partnership with Wpromote who will be able to advise you on search engine optimization for a fee. If you would prefer to do this yourself, we have a range of information on this link: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/categor....

(iv) I'm presently writing my site text. Can I compose and transfer on an InDesign html file or is it better as Microsoft Word - I don't have Office on my Vista Premium?
Please follow the steps that John has provided. Copying text from another source will usually result in problems with regard to copying hidden formatting code. I'm not sure about uploading an HTML file for your text but it's not possible to upload an HTML file if you have a free Yola account.

I hope that helps!

Tiffin,

It sounds like you intend to have only one site, or only one site at the outset. You can have one site (or even five sites) at Yola for free. You do not need to purchase the Silver package in order to have just one site.
