Hi everyone,
I am building a site and have spent some months here but never noticed this problem.As we all know that by default the colour of Hyperlinks(links) is blue. I am trying to provide the users some videos to view and I am building a kind of list in the text gadget.But when I link then to the corresponding page, their colour remains black! So I have to change the colour manually everytime. Also on the softwares page of my site I have to change the
colour of the links. If this is not an option, Can people at Yola consider it as a thing to be done so that we all don't have to change the colour everytime

Hi Mayank,

The links on your home page are blue when I view them. Could you let us know what browser you're using? Eg. Firefox 3, IE& etcc

I have put another link on the homepage and see it is not blue in colour.This is my problem.I had manually changed the colour of the other links because I wanted my site to be good and look complete.If I would not have changed the colour many users won't be able to tell that they are links!

Also Marije, I would like to ask hoe did you take that photo (image) of the homepage of my website?I would like to know that.Thanks for trying to help.

On your keyboard find the Print Screen button, sometimes shortened to "Prt Scr". Press it when you want to take a screenshot of the current screen. Then you can paste it into any photo editing tool, if you don't have something like Photoshop, Paint is another alternative. Paste it there they save as jpg.

Hi Mayank - the color of the links on that style is black by default. This is incorporated into the design of the style. You can change it by changing the color of the text (like you're doing) to the color you would like it to be. I'm sorry I can't be of much help on this one :)

Well Marije don't be sorry that you can't help me in this problem.Be happy that you tried to help me! The important thing is you try to help.Whether or not it helps is an entirely different thing.
Anyways the only thing thing I didn't like was that you marked this question solved too early, when it was actually not answered.

There is a workaround but its probably more work than what your doing now :)

If you add the code below into a html widget at the top of the page... all the links (including your menu) will be blue

However not the ones in the text widgets (sounds stupid but true)

What you would need to do is once you have edited your text widget - press the little html button in the top menu - copy all the html code - then paste it into a html widget.

:) - told you it was probably not worth it

anyway heres the code:

<style type="text/css">

A:link {color: blue;}

</style>

---------------------------------------

It depends how many links you had and if you liek the menu in blue whether or not it would be worth it.

A simple css solution :)..Though its odd, there have been many posts on this forum from people who want to change the default colour.

Maybe I just don't care about the menu!The only thing I was worrying about was that Since I have to manually change the color of the links the color does not change to red when a link is clicked.
Do you think that it is because of the specific template I used?Do you think that if I choose a different template,then the problem will solve itself?

Also now I have one more question:- "I want that when anyone clicks on these links,they open in a new tab / window. How do I do that?"

If you are adding links in the text editor you will need to edit the html that Yola add.

If you clcik the little html button in the top menu and then find the links they will look like this.

<a href="wherever.com"> link text<a/>

You need to make them look like this:

<a href="wherever.com" target="_blank> link text<a/>

Notice target="_blank"
