I think the question says it all. I already renewed my Bronze account but when I renewed my domain name I was charge another $49.95 for renewing my domain name. What gives? Why is Yola trying to rip me off?

Hello Bill

I'm sorry if you were double-charged. Let me assure you that this would have happened by mistake, and that Yola doesn't try to rip you or anyone off. In the event that we do discover a billing error on your account we will correct it as soon as possible.

I'm afraid I wasn't able to locate your Yola account in our system, using your Support Forum e-mail address. Can you please provide your domain name or your login e-mail (no password)? Then we will be able to investigate on this. Thanks.

Ok, my site is www.ninigretartguild.com.

I'll explain why I felt ripped off. Please read the entire message ( I have another support request open and it seems the person did not read and understand my issue)

First, a few days ago I renewed my hosting package and got a receipt for my payment.

Yesterday, I attempted to renew my domain registration for $11.95 via Paypal. When I clicked the pay button, I got a page which said they was a server error. So I tried again and was apparently successful except for the fact that my total was $61.90 instead of $11.95. AT NO TIME was I told that I was being charged $49.95 to renew my hosting package which I had previously done. Hence, my being "ripped off"

I have a 20+ digit transaction number if you need it, but seriously is that many digits necessary? Talk about making the process consumer unfriendly!!!

I hope that is clear.

Now to recap my other support issue, I am not able to edit 2 or my 3 sites at Yola. When I go to the My Yola page and try to select one in the drop down box nothing happens. I am using Firefox 13.0.1. I also tried IE 8 and when I selected the ninigretartguild site to edit I got a page that said I had no such site and got a link to create a new site. I tried explaining this to another support person twice and have yet to hear back.

Would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Hello Bill

Thank you for providing your URL which enabled me to find your Yola account in our system.

I have checked your account, and this is what happened: You renewed Yola Bronze at a discounted price for another year until 2013. When you renewed your domain later, the checkbox to renew your hosting package at the same time (as most users prefer it) was ticked, so you got billed for your domain renewal and another year Yola Bronze on top of it. This means that your Yola Bronze package is now running until 2014. So you didn't double-pay, you just renewed your package for two years altogether. If you wouldn't like it to run until 2014, please let us know, and we can refund the renewal price for 2013-2014 for you. Otherwise you can just leave it and won't need to pay again in 2013. Just let us know about your decision, and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

I wasn't able to replicate the problem you report about selecting your website from the drop down menu in your My Yola. We have had some other users, though, who had the same issue. We've seen that certain browser add-ons can cause this problem. Please refer to this post to learn more: Select website. Look for the keyword "duck not track plus".

Thank you for testing in a different browser. Have you tried on a different computer and in a different internet network? Did you clear cache and cookies of your browser?

Please let us know if none of these options solves your problem.

OK, thanks.

I would like to retain my hosting renewal until 2013 and cancel the renewal beyond that (and hence be refunded the $49.95 I was charged yesterday.)

I would like to keep the domain registration I paid $11.95 for yesterday.

As far as the Select Site drop down, it seems to be working fine in Firefox. I am on a different computer today, but had the same problem earlier today. I just tried again in the last 30 minutes and it worked fine. Go figure.

Thanks for you help. Please acknowledge when the refund is completed.

Hello Bill

Thank you for letting me know about your decision. We will refund you the price for the Yola Bronze package for 2013-2014 and leave the rest the way it is as you requested. We will keep you updated on this thread.
