Hi barttramer,

Don't worry - this is perfectly normal! Before people will be able to find your site using the search box a search engine, your site will first need to be indexed by the search engines. It takes time for new websites to be picked up and indexed by the search engines.

Indexing is the process of the search engine algorithm going through each of your website pages, making a copy of the page, and adding it to its index. This can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months and unfortunately, is out of our control. If you take a moment to imagine the millions of webpages on the Internet you can see why this can take some time.

Until your site is indexed, I recommend giving people your website address so they can find you. They can type this directly into the address bar of their browser.

We have some helpful tutorials on SEO, which you can find here:http://www.yola.com/tutorials/categor....

I hope that all makes sense. Please let me know if anything is unclear!

Hello! Did you just do this all today? If you did you have to wait for Google to index your site, and this usually doesn't take that long (2 days at the most, I believe)

In the meanwhile you should add your URL manually too, because this will help the process, so go to this page and type in your website and submit it: http://www.google.com/addurl

If it doesn't work and you never see your site on Google please let us know.
