Widget Forms_Setting does not allow addition of links and or formatting of text to display after clicking on the submit button

Dear Yola,

I have created a separate webpage linking the users from my catalogue to enter their details manually on the form once they clicked on the submit button.

My challenge is "I need the website to allow me to add a webpage on the settings tab of the form in order to direct the user what to do next when making manual payments.

The current action is that "I can only enter information such as "Thank you for submitting your details on the form...”
on the "Enter a form completion message" text field, entering more information comes clustered.

My Requests are as follows:

Option 1:
I need to be able to format the text field to separate paragraphs to guide the user of the banking details.

and or:

Option 2:
Be able to create a link to the webpage with the banking details and ref number.

I have tried to add more details on that field, but after clicking the submit button the page displays information clustered into one paragraph.

Our company is still manually running payments for our orders.

Can you help?

Hello Boitumelo Mosuwe

Option 1 should be working. I've tested the "Enter a form completion message" box for you, and I'm able to add as much text as I want without it getting cluttered. If you want me to test it on your website, please give me permission to change the completion message within your account temporarily and re-publish. To provide me with the text you want to be shown (your banking details), you can create a test page named "test" without adding it to the navigation, then add your text to this test page using a Text Widget, and I will be able to use and test this text with your completion message.

Otherwise, though I'm aware that you said your were doing manual payments, there are two embeddable third-providers which you may want to consider and which offer a check-out option for forms:

Hello Boitumelo

You don't need to send me your details, you can just post the URL of your website here. If you confirm on this thread that you allow me to test things as described above, that would be sufficient. Please first create the test page where you add the text which you want to display, so that I can test with the real text you want to appear on form submission.

Hello Tumi

When I open the test page you created, there is just a Contact Form. What I meant is that you add a Text Widget where you enter the text that you want to be displayed on form submission, i.e. your banking details or whatever you want your customers to see.

I'm sure that I will be able to add this information to the completion message, and I can add some HTML to the text to format it. Please add the text to a Text Widget on that test page and format it the way you want it, such as creating paragraphs, bold text, etc., and I will try to add it the same way to your completion message.

Hi Stefan, i dont think we are on the same page, i have added the test.php to give you an indication of where i am experiencing the problem using the contact page format as an exmaple. Just to give you a step by step using the test page. Step 1: on entering data on the field, the user has to click on the submit button", Step 2: the website will then display the confirmation message which comes from the settings page of editing the form. Step 3: My challenge is i am unable to add the text as suggest on the settings page of the form and how do i go about doing so?
Step 4: If i had to insert the text widget on the same page the form is displayed such the contact page form, the widget will be visible to the user prior to submiting their personal details, Step5: My requirement is that the user captures his/her personal details on the form "Contact Us page" for example (Contact us is just an example, that text can be edited, then clicks on the submit button, then the website must allow me to display the confirmation message along with the banking details

I hope this clarifies my question.

Hello Tumi

I believe I have understood what you're trying to achieve. There seem to be a few misunderstandings about the Settings tab. What you highlighted as "lots of empty space" above is just your Settings view in the dialogue box of your Yola Form Widget. It doesn't reflect your form appearance or form size.

What I understood is that you would like to display a success message and your banking details after your visitor has clicked on the submit button, is that correct? You will be able to add a text of any length to the "Enter a form completion message" box. If the text is larger, you can scroll down using the little scroll bar next to this box. You can even format this text by using HTML (which I could do for you), e.g. if you'd like some words in bold, paragraphs, etc., I think it will even be possible to add text links to link to other pages. The text you add into this field will be displayed completely from what I've tested in my own account. The Settings tab is not a preview of your form, so any text you add will display in full and without the scroll bars displayed in the Settings tab.

I suggested to add a Text Widget in order to have your text. After I have copied the content of this Text Widget, I will remove it. You could also post this text here, but I thought it's better for protecting your privacy if you make the text available for me within your Yola account. Does that make sense?

I think it will be best if I just show you what I mean by doing it for you. Please add a Text Widget to your test page and add the text you want to show on form submission, and I will go on working with it.

Here is an example I've created for you. Please have a look and let me know if that is what you have in mind, and what would need to be added. Just fill in the form and hit the "View our banking details" button: http://testflyovermenus.yolasite.com/...

Hi Stefan, i think this is the best to do it-". Are we continuing to use the test page? I have yola premier silver and im not sure why am i not getting live help, instant access where you could remotely access my machine? Please advise.

Hello Tumi

I'm aware that you have Yola Silver, and the only live help we offer is telephone support. If you post on our Support Forum, our policy is to respond to you within 24 hours, and you and I have been in touch on this thread in much shorter intervals. I do have instant access to your Yola account, but I don't want to change things that you won't like eventually. That's why I suggested to create the test page. If you like the final result, you will be able to save the test page as your contact us page or rename it.

When I access your account now, I can see that the test page is no longer there. I've tried my best to assist you, however, if you don't follow my instructions, I'm unable to help you achieve what you want to do. Also, I don't have any feedback from you to my previous post where I provided you with a link to a sample form in order to find out if that is what you want to have on your website.

I'm sorry if this is a matter of a misunderstanding, and if you're not happy with my support, you're welcome to contact our Call Centre or send us your request via e-mail.
