Hi
A friend purchased a yola silver package and I'm trying to set up an email account with windows live for him following your tutorial, I'm getting to number 3 "Create a new Windows Live ID in your domain, ex you@yourdomain.com", and can't get any further because I am unable to access the inbox to check the verification email, I'm clicking on account going to inbox, clicking and going back to the verification page every time. How can I get in to the inbox?

Hello David,

Can you not access your Yola Mail inbox?

You will be able to login to your webmail on http://mail.yourdomain.com/ (replace "yourdomain.com" with your domain name).

Your username and password are the username and password you chose when you configured your mailbox.

You will then be able to access your mail and get your verification email.

I hope this helps. If this does not solve your problem, please let us know.

Hi Jeremy
You're referring to Yola Mail I'm talking about Windows Live as stated above. As I said I'm reaching no 3 in the tutorial and when I create a new ID:

(If you select "Create a new Windows Live ID in your domain, ex you@yourdomain.com", you will be directed to a page where you create your Windows Live ID. Once complete, you will receive an email to verify your account before proceeding to the next steps).

I have no way of verifiying the account because I can't access the inbox hence I then can't move on to step 4

Hi
This question was asked 2 days ago now and has still not been resolved, I am usually very impressed by Yola's support but as this is for a silver account holder I had expected a solution a bit earlier.

Hi David,

I am sorry to hear that you are a bit upset with the time that has passed while receiving support in this regards. I do see that Jeremy responded to you one day ago. Please keep in mind that we do respond to our Silver customers within 24 hours.

I have looked into what you are trying to and do believe I can assist you with getting past step 3. After filling in all of the information requested, you will get to a page that asks for you to check your email for the verification email. Of course, as you were saying, this cannot be done since you haven't officially finished setting up your account.

At this step, press the button that says "Send Email". Pressing this will send the verification email to your Windows Live account, and when you go to sign into Windows Live, you will be able to do so without hesitation.

After signing in you will be prompted to verify the email address. Please let me know if you struggle with this.

Hi Brianna
If only it was that simple, pressing 'send email' just takes me back to the 'send email' page. I can access the account page but clicking inbox from that page takes me back to 'send email'. I've even tried to ask a question in their forum but trying to sign in takes me back to ........ You can see how frustrating this is becomming, I've probably got an inbox full of verification emails which I can't get to.

Hi David

Brianna is currently offline. I have read through this forum thread and it sounds like you need to log in to your Yola Mail account (the web version) to retrieve your verification emails. To do this, open a web browser and type in mail.yourdomain.com, replacing "yourdomain.com" with your domain name. Then enter the email address and login password. This will get you in to your email account and you will be able to read your emails.

Please let us know if this helps or not. We would like to help you resolve this problem, as I understand your frustration with it.

Thank you
Nazlie

Hi Nazlie
Typing in mail......... just takes me to a server not found page.
Am I missing something here, how do I log into Yola mail when I don't have a Yola mail account?
I have a website, also through Yola which I set up a custom email address for with Windows Live and never had this problem.

Hi David
Would you mind sharing the URL of the website of which you are setting up the email? I would like to check whether there is an associated Yola Mail account. The instructions you are using is for setting up Yola Mail on Windows Live.

Thank you

Hi David,

I think I can see your problem now. You do not have a Yola mail account correct? If you don't have a Yola mail account you cannot access your email form Windows Live via Yola mail as you have no Yola Mail account. You can however set up a Windows live Account without purchasing Yola mail.

Here are the instructions for setting up a Windows Live account: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article... - you will need to create a new Windows Live ID, not an existing one.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

The link you have supplied is the exact tutorial I used and am having problems with, have we took five days for you to point me to a tutorial that I used to start with.
Outstanding work, just reading the thread should have told you its a windows live account and correct I don't have a yola mail account, did I ever say I did?

Hello David,

Unfortunately this problem seems to be a bit out of our realm of knowledge. I think the best course of action would be to contact Windows Live help. (http://windowslivehelp.com/)

We do have a mail offering (Yola Mail) which we can support in it's entirety but with external services like Windows Live and Google Apps we can only support it to a certain extent.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

Hello Tom

As Jeremy has mentioned here, it is out of our realm of expertise. Have you tried the Windows Live Help Center?

Hi Tom
I share your frustration, its a while ago so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details but I think where I was going wrong was at step 3 I was trying to create my custom name, me@mydomain.com instead of signing in with my existing live account me@live.co.uk.
Once I had signed in and set the mx server code with my domain registrar I was then able to create my custom email address.
I hope this is all correct, if you haven't got an existing live address I've no idea what to do.
