Wonky columns!

I have chosen the 2-column layout as I would like to insert images with links down the left hand side of my page - this moves the 2nd column out further than the banner heading and looks messy on the page - how do I make the 2nd column narrower - I can't find a way to do this. Thanks. Carole

I've found that the size of the columns changes depending on the size of the content. Like if you had a picture in one column, the smaller or bigger the picture is, the smaller or bigger the column is. If you want a column with text in it to be smaller, hit enter to change the size. Like the example below:

This column will be bigger since the text is longer.

This column
will be more
because of the
text size.

Hope this helps-Dan

Hi office buddy,

I would suggest just using the 1 column layout and then add a 2 column widget to the page. The column widget does not change size depending on the content inside it... You fix the width yourself by dragging the centre bar.

Thanks UK Duke - I have now sorted it - the columns wouldn't drag because I had an image underneath - once I resized the image the text box above got smaller! I was just being stupid!

Hello Office Buddy

To extrapolate further on what lambofgod and UK Duke have share (thank you guys!), the width of the column resizes according to the largest object in there.

So, if you're wanting to keep the columns aligned with the width of your banner, most likely the best thing to do is to make your images smaller.

If you can share your URL with us, then we can take a closer look at what you have and offer suggestions.

Hi Littleus - thanks once I made the images smaller as you suggested everything lined up.
