Hi, Looking for some help.
My site works great in Firefox, but in IE & Safari half the images don't load, and some of those that do are messed up. Can anyone shed some light on it?

Hi Craig,
Your images are loading on IE from the old PC I'm using. Nothing seems wrong with the HTML, either. Out of curiousity I checked the site on a Palm Pre, and every image loads there. Fingers crossed - maybe it was a temporary server glitch?

Very good looking site, by the way. The simple layout really draws viewers' attention to the photos.

Regards,
-Nate

Hi Nate,
Thanks for that, I appreciate the help.
I just checked on IE myself and it was fine, however now it's doing the same thing in Firefox. :(
I've checked it on different computers in the house and my phone (works okay on that). Re-booted everything and it's the same thing. :(

Is there anywhere I can find out if there's server glitches ongoing?

Just another update. There's another site I look after on another account, and the header isn't showing on that either.

Coming from the position of more information helps with the diagnosis, here's some text from a friend who just checked it on IE and Safari.

"This time after clearing cache IE loaded front page with two left pictures, right ones took long time to appear. Safari on Mac had the two right pics, but only top edge of the two left ones. On other pages IE needs refreshing several times to get all to load, whilst Safari doesn't load all pics on all pages even with refreshes. Sorry the report still rather negative from here "

Hi Craig,
I am not sure what might be happening. I have taken a look at your site in Firefox and Safari and the home page is appearing as it should for me with 4 pictures along the top. Here is a screen shot of what I am seeing:

Hi Emmy,
I've just gone in on Firefox, and the home page loaded fine.
The Fashion page has two images missing and one half-loaded. The Events page is missing three images and has one half-loaded.

After that I've gone in on IE and it's worked perfect. Yet you can see the quote from my previous post that for others it's missing or partially loading images.

Earlier Firefox was perfect and IE was buggy.
I'm as confused as you are.

The only thing I can think of was that I installed the facebook 'like' button on the 'Home' and 'About' pages earlier. Could that be the problem that's affecting the images on the other pages?

lol... I'm confused too :(

If it helps, here's a list of what images should be appearing on what page:
Home - 4 images in a row.
Portrait - 8 images in 2 columns.
Fashion - 12 images in 3 columns.
Events - 8 images in first section, 8 images in second section and 6 images in third.
About - 1 image of my ugly coupon :D

I think Yola has developed a bug. As well as some of the images either half appearing or not appearing at all on my site http://www.simplyeighties.com, I've also been having problems editing a page on my other gaming website which shows images in the editor, but when I preview some of them disappear. Now I can't do any editing at all and I hope Yola can sort out this bug soon!

I've tried reloading some of the lost images and now I can't save the page at all as Yola displays the message "Something Went Wrong..." There's definitely a problem with images!

Hello Craig and Mark,

We're trying to pin down if this problem is specific to any geographic area, can you tell us where you are located. You don't have to be too specific and if you're not comfortable with that I understand.

Thanks,
Emmy

Hi Emmy,

I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the person I quoted earlier lives in the very North of Scotland if that's of any help?

Hello again. Sorry about the delay with my reply but, frustratingly, my electricity has been off for over three hours following a thunderstorm!

Anyway, I am in Central England, so maybe this is a British problem as Craig is in Scotland?

Hi Mark N,

If it is any consilation, I live in Southern England (Hampshire) and we have had the hottest day ever, slight exaggeration but it certainly feels like it when you are working in a Kitchen without any Air Con! It seems impossible that there are thunderstorms elsewhere in England... we must be lucky being next to the Sea!

I have tested your website in Chrome 12 (Dev) and Firefox 4. All works fine. I then tested in IE9 and IE6 - it worked fine but was very slow. Must just be the fact that IE6 is old and IE9 is the slowest loading browser I have ever used!!!

Hope this information helps,

Good Site by the way, very good layout.

Kind Regards,

Andi
