Would 60 Day registration of domain apply to this?

I am building a new site for a friend. He is registered with go daddy under another persons account. He wants me to transfer his go daddy into my go daddy account. I then want to point that domain to Yola and the site I am building.

Does the 60 days being registered reset if we transfer just the ownership of his domain name within go daddy?

Also, can you include the link to where I would find how to get rid of his old website so the Yola website can be published and get it up and running.

Hello Jennifer,
The 60 day waiting period refers to completely transferring a domain from one registrar to another. It sounds to me like you are wanting to keep the domain with GoDaddy and edit the records so that it can be published to a site built with Yola. Here is a link to a tutorial with instructions for how to do this: Publish to a GoDaddy domain.

If you choose to look into fully transferring a domain to Yola so we are your domain name manager here is a link with more information on this: Transferring a domain to Yola.

If I can assist you further please let me know.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Yes, he would stay with Go Daddy but it would be changing the domain from one owner to another.
