Yola.com access problem continues

Check out my response at the bottom of the forum page: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/yol...

Rob B's problem continues for other users. My post on that page, about not being able to access yola.com and or its sitebuilder, reads:

I am having ALL the same problems as you (except for the ajax.google thing), for a few months now. Deleting the temp internet files and closing and reopening the browser window would work for a couple of minutes, then I'd again have all the problems you had. And, of course, I represent the situation of trying another computer, another server (Qwest in the USA) and another browser (I tried IE 8, Google Chrome 10.0.648.204, and Firefox 3.6). Today, with all these problems still occurring (couldn't even get into www.yola.com, although I could ping it OK), I tried Firefox 4 for the first time and all seemed to work OK. I hope this continues. I hadn't been able to edit my pages for months before now. Emmy, I think this problem might be a lot more widespread than yola suspects, as many yola users are probably like me, having problems for a few months but without going to the yola forum to report it. It might be a good idea for yola to SOLICIT comments on this problem from its users on its homepage or via its list of users' email addresses (?).

I thought that giving you this info might help you to troubleshoot this problem. Thanks.

Well, I spoke too soon. Now when I sign into yola.com using Firefox 4, all I get at my.yola.com is a blank page, even after deleting my Firefox internet files and trying again. I just tried again to log into yola using Firefox 4 and it doesn't even log in now. Just keep trying forever.

Hello Imer,

I am sorry you are still having this problem. I will alert Emmy of your continuing issues.

Would you please be able to tell me where you are connecting to the internet from. Are you connecting at home, at work or from an internet cafe?

Would it be possible to ask you to try connecting from a different place and see if you are still unable to connect to Yola.com

Many thanks for working with us on this and If this does not solve your problem, please let us know.

I connect from home. I don't have any quick access to trying other peoples' computers, not even at work, but I tried connecting through TOR, which passes my connection to the internet through a lot of other peoples' computers (relays) before finally going to www.yola.com. Sometimes, my connection to the internet even goes through Germany. My connection to yola then works without a problem. I'll try this route as long as it continues to work.

This may help:
I did a tracert to yola.com from a command window and it showed my first host as Chicago and then some other cities. Then, from my Firefox browser running under TOR, it did a tracert at http://network-tools.com/default.asp?... and it showed me going to yola thru the same hosts except the first host was dallas instead of Chicago. Could there be a problem with Chicago?

(Incidentally, during my research, I tried to go to www.dontcensorme.org from Firefox running normally. I got an "unable to connect" error, but had no problem going there with Firefox running under TOR.)

Chances are this is on your side of things....If the problem was wide spread this forum would be going crazy with complaints.

Hello Imer,
I wanted to check in with you on this, are you still having a problem with accessing Yola.com or your Sitebuilder? We are not currently receiving other reports of this nature that are widespread. Can you let me know how this is going for you; I hope it's better.

Emmy, I'm still having the problem. I've been having it for months. Can't log into yola at all. Sometimes, I can't even get into Yola's home page. But if I use TOR, I can get into Yola by going to it by relaying through others' computers and all works normally then. At least I can get in to edit my pages now. Thanks for ur help. Any ideas?

Hello imer

We are sorry to hear that this problem has been ongoing for you. Here are a few more things you can try to see if this makes any difference.

1. Disable any security programs such as Firewall, anti-virus, ad-blockers, script blockers, etc...
2. Fully uninstall your browser and then re-install it. Make sure you have the most up-to-date Flash after re-installing.
3. Enable your javascript.
