Hello,

Our engineers are currently investigating this. We are able to reproduce this problem and it seems related to location or internet service providers (ISP). Can you please reply and let us know where you are located and who your ISP is?

I am located in SLC UT, my internet provider is Comcast and as far as ISP is concerned....hmmmm don't know if I should be giving out that information?

Hi Jill,

Comcast is your ISP, so that's what we were looking for and that is in line with what we've seen so far as well. If you can get to a friends house with an alternate internet provider you should be able to access your website.

Thanks, Laura!

I'm located on the east coast of Australia.

ETA: I've taken out who my ISP is as I am not comfortable advertising to the world. You have your info now.

This appears to be a problem with upstream internet service providers so we do not have an estimate for when it might be resolved. We will keep you updated here as we know more.

cant connect to http://my.yola.com/ it redirects to https://www.yola.com/get-started-with... and then nothing happens.
why do u keep telling ppl its their isp that screws things up. thats impossible. it can and is only related to your server having a problem. no need for ppl to list their isps here.

cant understand how they can let a person like laura answer here. asking where ppl r located and what their isp is. if u r in us,uk or finland, what differance does it make. either YOUR server works or it doesnt. or u suggesting its a conspiracy that isps in different countries r performing, like boycotting the yola server? lol.

Hi Jennifer,

I am an employee and as such I must request that you remain respectful and professional on our forum should you wish to remain here.

Our engineers have confirmed this is an upstream provider issue and it is not a server issue. We appreciate your opinion on this, however I will defer to the expertise of our engineering staff and continue to do my best to update our members based on their reports.

Your assertion that this is a server issue due to the messaging you see when trying to access MyYola is mistaken. This is because my.yola.com uses a different IP address to http://www.yola.com. Yola.com's IP address is the one experiencing the problem and not my.yola.com.

My initial request for location and ISP information was because until these reports emerged, only Comcast users in the US had been affected. Users in Canada, Brazil and South Africa are all able to access Yola.com, another indication that it is not a server issue on our side. A hacker would have no need for country location and ISP and I did not violate any form of privacy in asking this information. That said, it's no longer necessary to collect as the problem has been confirmed.

i dont live in u.s or australia and no matter what proxy or vpn server im using its simply not possible to connect to yola. if i dont use a proxy or vpn, but simply my own isp i still cant connect. can u elaborate how its even remotely possible for individual isp to all of a sudden not be able to connect to yola? the internet server providers all took a decision not to do so? if not, how and why did they do that? sounds...not likely..
how did the engineers come to the conclusion so surely as to say its "confirmed" to be like that?

While I can't address the problem you are having with your proxy or vpn, I can point you to Down For Everyone which clearly indicates Yola.com is up thus indicating it is not a server problem. I'll attach a screenshot for you below as well.

Wish we could take the credit, but we didn't do anything. Comcast users are reporting success in accessing Yola.com, hopefully this is true for other members as well. Please keep us posted!

Glad to hear you're able to access Yola.com now jennifer. Our engineers take our service, stability and security very seriously. Also, we are a very transparent company. When systems do fail on our end, we are open and honest about it. Your assumption that we are either unaware of a problem or not being straightforward with you about a problem is disappointing to us. If you do not have faith in the expertise of our team to maintain, diagnose and/or resolve problems, we may not be the best partner for your needs.

im simply saying that its impossible for isps WORLDWIDE (u.s was mentioned, so was australia so thats two, plus my location outside those two countries so thats at least 3 countries and thus 3 isps) to all of a sudden allow their clients to use all of the internet with the exception of yola.com. i also tried different proxies and vpn servers to see if its a isp problem but since i tried 20 plus countries, id say no its not.thats why i said it cant be anything but an internal server problem and / or an intruder (hacker) doing whatever on your server and when he/they were done, the problem stopped. weighing the different possibilities, that s by far the most likely. as u said urself, u guys didnt fix it, it just stopped. any webserver can be hacked, not just yuours. hopefully they will look into things, change the server passwords etc.

It has been 2 weeks now since i upgraded my account and I still can't access my online store. If this persists longer Im going to deactivate my account. There is no point paying for something I can't use.

Hello Charissa

I'm sorry that you haven't been able to access your Yola Online Store, and I absolutely agree with you that you shouldn't pay for aynthing you don't get. Have you tried to contact our Support during those two weeks?

To assist you further, I will need to know your login e-mail address to your Yola account (no password, please), or your domain name. Can you please provide one of those details on this thread? We will be happy to look into this for you.Thanks.

Hello Charissa

At first I was able to replicate the error that you reported. I was seeing an empty field, but when I refreshed the page, I was shown your Yola Online Store set up. I have logged out and in again, and I was always shown your set up page as designed.

Can you please clear your cache and try again in your Yola account? Let us know how that goes. If the problem persists, please let us know, and we'll investigate further on this.
