Hi guys

I know about the recent attack on the yola servers and understand that this has now been
resolved however because I cannot access my published site I ended up being told by a friend that there was talk about this on yola's facebook page. After visiting this page a few times I finally found the answer to why I cannot access my published site (neither can anyone else) and it seems that in order to sort things out yola has had to change the ip address. This may not be problematic for those of you who host with yola, but for others like myself who have our domains registered elsewhere its a pretty big problem unless we happen to stumble accross the facebook page!

Is it possible that that a note could be left for others like me on yolas main page for a few days/weeks to notify non facebook users?

Hi John

thanks for the link it will definately be of some help to me, but my point was that I stumbled across the info on facebook, what about yola customers that dont use face book but do use a registrar other than yola, it may be quite difficult for them to find the info about why their site is down and how to fix it.

Thanks
Kenny

Hi Kenny

We are working on an email for all affected users. It will take some time for us to get it out, because we need to get all the right information together, and then put it through our bulk email system. We are waiting for our San Francisco office to wake up as they need to do part of the task, but we intend to get the email out today.

Hey, Yola should sign up with Mad Mimi email marketing. Or something. And whenever someone signs up with Yola, they automatically get subscribed to that mailing list. We use Mad Mimi for our website and it is a great email system! Just a tip. (Unless you already have a service for emails to lots of people.)
