Can I manage additional Yola email folders (Spam, Personal, Travel, Work, etc) on iphone? Right now, it only shows inbox, sent, and trash. Also, the inbox and trash show the same emails. What's up with that?

Hi Dave,

I just had a peek at the Yola mail on my iPhone and it appears to be working properly. Perhaps you had missed a step when setting up Yola Mail on your iPhone? Here they are again:

* Go to "Settings".
* Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
* Select "Add Account".
* Select "Other".
* Select "Add Mail Account".
* Fill out the fields:
Name: Your name
Address: mailbox@yourdomain.com
Password: Your password
Description: Description for your mailbox
* Click "Next".

It will then take you to a screen where you can add your mail server information:

Incoming Mail Server:
Host name: mail.yourdomain.com
User name: mailbox@yourdomain.com
Password: Your password

Outgoing Mail Server:
Host name: mail.yourdomain.com
User name: mailbox@yourdomain.com
Password: Your password

* Click "Next".

Your account will go through a verification process and once this is completed Yola Mail will be added to your iPhone / iPad.

Please let us know if there is a particular step that you are struggling with. Thanks!

Thanks Brianna!
That helped to go through the steps again. Also, I had entered the info the POP selection, once I switched to IMAP it connected correctly. Thanks again!
Happy now.

Just renewed my Yola Subscription. I've setup yola mail on iphone's for sites I've built for my friends, so I know what I'm doing. Just added the mail function to my site literally right now.

I keep getting a message that my user or password is wrong, I don't see how I literally setup the mailbox user and password right now, so it's not like I forgot it.

Hello Erica

If you go to your Yola account and then to your Yola Mail section, you will find the details needed for the outgoing mail setup at the bottom of the page. It's under "SMTP server". Let us know if you need more help?

Hi,

I entered my incoming and outgoing mail server as described above but when I click NEXT I get the following message on my iphone . . .

"Cannot connect using SSL - - Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?"

Can you give some explanation what this means and how I should proceed??

Thanks

Hi David,

SSL is a method of email security. It is not supported by us and you can choose to continue set up of Yola Mail on your iPhone without it.

Hi,

I successfully setup Yola Mail on my iPhone but I am a little bit concerned that Yola does not support SSL.

Can you give me a little more detail what this means in terms of my email security.

I read somewhere that my email login password is not encrypted without SSL. Is this true?

Are there any other mail options through Yola that is more secure?

Thanks for your help.

Google Apps Mail is on SSL and it's free with Yola.

Without SSL people can snoop on messages as they are being sent throughout the web. Typically hackers. SSL doesn't mean that it is watertight but it will prevent most hacking into your mail.

Email per se is very insecure because it is an inherited system when security wasn't an issue. SMTP systems allow people at the SMTP servers to intercept, read and modify mail. The system used was wide spread when the security issue became apparent that it is now too late to conveniently change the system.

Just curious . . .

Is it possible to get a refund on my Yola mail service.

I am concerned about this SSL security issue with Yola mail and it seems that there may be a more secure Yola option through Google Mail apps.

Don't get me wrong, I very much like the Yola hosting/website development service but I just joined and was not aware of this Yola SSL email security issue and would like to re-consider my options.

THANKS!

Ok but don't cancel my Yola Mail service yet. Still considering my options.
