Yola is currently experiencing a DoS attack which we are working with our upstream partners on remedying as quickly as possible. We will keep you updated on this thread and really appreciate your patience while this is taken care of.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

I have Yola Silver and I would expect (as with many other websites), near to 100% up time, rather than the less that satisfactory up time I have been receiving.
My website is http://cyanide.co.uk .. can any of you see this?
Just for the record: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/yola.com

Thanks for letting us know about this.
I hope you guys can get it fixed! Will it be as long as the DoS attack last year? Will Yola have to migrate to another IP address or will it not be as bad?

It wasn't that long last year. And I remember that was the day I became a Yola Champ. :) Anyway, I'm sure they will get it fixed fast. Yola Engineers rock and they are really fast at fixing issues.
Kind regards,
Nathan

Unfortunately we don't have any updates on when this will be resolved but our hosting service is working on this as their top priority and we will pass on any news as soon as it becomes available.

Truly, we can understand your frustration and we are very frustrated as well. I would just like to point out that what is happening right now is not on the fault of Yola, we are experiencing a DoS attack which is happening upstream from us with our hosting provider, however we do regard this as our responsibility and highest priority to work with them to solve.
Please also know that published sites are not affected, anyone visiting your published site will still get there successfully, the only affected areas right now are Yola.com and logging into your Sitebuilders.
Please rest assured that we have an entire team of people working behind the scenes right now to get this taken care of.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Yola offers a competitively priced website hosting service that allows idiots like me to build sites to a standard that other idiots want to pay me money to make them a site. Yola sites are ad free, you can store a lot of stuff on a site, the interface is so easy that a trained chimp can build a page, the tutorials are easy to understand and to the point, the staff are so very amazing they make me grin with their spectacular service, which, in my opinion, is a lot better than some call centres, which is quite a feat considering they use a third party site for their support. they offer easy integration with just about anything, and they are better than all other website hosts in every way. After all, if they weren't they would have stopped by now. Everyone at Yola is there because they think that everyone deserves a free website that is easy to build, and if I have to live through couple of service outages because they are so great and big that some dorky idiot in a darkened room has to hack them so they can feel good about themselves, then so be it.
I also happen to know that you pay a lot of money so that someone at Yola is on call 24/7 to go and fix whatever is wrong, whether it is Yola's fault or not, they spend a lot of money and time and effort and man power to satisfy people who knock them whenever something goes wrong. Although i don't know what Mr Yola spends his money on, I can tell you this: Yola care about their customers. They care about the sites they host.

YOLA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE, THE SERVICE, THE YOLA TOOLSET OR ANY USER SITES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE OPERATION THEREOF WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE. THE SITE, THE SERVICES, AND THE YOLA TOOLSET ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SITE, THE SERVICE AND THE YOLA TOOLSET IS WITH YOU. SHOULD ANY OF THE FOREGOING PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU (AND NOT YOLA, INC., ITS PARENT, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES OR LICENSORS) ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
The fact that you are demanding compensation shows that you did not read the ToS and therefore cannot have an account with Yola, as when you signed up you ticked a box saying that you had read the terms of service, and so you are in breach of contract.

Now that everything is back to normal I would like to respond to your posts. While we appreciate the support of customers like Will, we are just as appreciative of the feedback from people like yourself who hold us to the very same high standard of service that we expect of ourselves! It is particularly unfortunate when a service outage on our side negatively affects the business of one of our valued customers. While this particular unfortunate event was outside of our control, we nevertheless take full responsibility for the well being of those who entrust their websites to us. During a crisis our first line of defense is always to ensure that the right people are working as hard and fast as they can to solve the problem, while communicating as much information as possible to affected customers. Once this has been taken care of we are ready and willing to see what else needs to be done to put matters right. Please email support@yola.com and mark the email "Attention Monique" as I would like to personally discuss this matter with you and see if a satisfactory resolution can be reached.

I find Yola a pleasure to deal with, I have full on support from staff and the community pages, twice now I have had some minor problems with my site with css & html codes and twice now my problems have been resolved easily and quickly.
I'll stay where I am thanks!

Even the BBC's website went down for an hour and a half before because of a DoS attack! Yola could not do anything to prevent this, all they can (and are) do(ing) is rectify the situation!
Hats of to Yola I say!

Yola has been experiencing a DoS (Denial of Service) attack on their servers. But, they are starting to restore now. All Yola sites are up and Yola.com is back up, I don't think you can't login yet though.
Kind regards.
