Yola link removal inactive!?

I made a free Yola-site for a friend of mine. He now wants to have the Yola-link in the footer removed. When I click it, the silver version popup shows, which I can go into or ignore, but if I ignore it, nothing happens! In the popup it says "Yola Link Removal:
Inactive"

Why can't I just pay $ 9 to get rid of the Yola-link?

Hello tureluur66,

The Yola Link Removal is no longer sold as a single product but is a part of the Yola Silver package.

In order to simplify our product offerings and offer maximum value, we will be moving more and more of our premium features into packages. We found that more people prefer to purchase a package deal, and it becomes very complicated to maintain both a la carte features and packages. We hope you understand our position on this.

We encourage you to take a look at our Yola Silver package as it is packed full of great features including:

* A custom domain name (including private registration).
* A credit to create your own logo for your website through our partnership with HP.
* A credit for a Premium Style
* Yahoo! and Facebook advertising credits
* Fotolia image credits

For more information about Yola Silver, please read here: Yola Silver FAQ.

Please let us know if you further questions.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Those extra features have no value to me. I already have my own domain name and don't need the rest. I need to remove the link to look more professional.

As a small business owner, I'm price concious which is why I chose Yola in the first place. Too bad Yola doesn't serve me anymore - will have to move my entire website ELSEWHERE. I would've been more than happy to pay the $10 for link removal.

Guess I'll grudgingly return back to GoDaddy and Wordpress - $60 got me the same amount of features. $40 is $40.

Hi lynnebarry,
We are sorry to hear that our Silver features are not of interest to you. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and will gladly welcome you back should you choose to use Yola in the future.

I don't think that's fair... The deal that I made with my friend was just to remove the link for $9. Is there another template that I can use without paying so much?

Unfortunately Yola Link Removal is only available via the Yola Silver package.

Quite a few of the more expensive web hosts charge $25 a year to remove their brand. Yola's price is more than fair, especially considering the sitebuilder and hosting is free.

But its not what you promoted yourselves on.

Surely we are not the only ones unhappy about this lack of choice and quadrupling price hike?

Please reconsider.
