Yola Logins Restored!

Hi All

I am back with a further update.

After many hours, little sleep, lots of coffee and almost no toilet breaks =)! we are ready to restore logins! We have addressed the underlying cause which created an error dialog and the inability to edit on a number of our customer's sites.

This has been a very difficult day for the Yola community, and we once again thank everyone for sticking with us through this.

Here is what you can expect when you login:
You should be able to open, edit and publish your sites as normal.

However, we are prepared for the fact that some sites might still have issues. If you see anything on your site that doesn't look as you expect, please email support@yola.com and we will work with you to get everything back the way it should be.

We will continue to monitor our service closely to resolve any remaining problems, and ensure that this does not happen again.

Oops, not so fast guys. - come back!
I can't upload files to the file manager.
Is it just me? Can somebody else try??

Hi Boomer - just tested on one of my sites and was able to upload files. Do you get any error messages? Can you try clearing your cache maybe and trying again?

Congradulations Yola. I hated being down but it gave me time to get some other stuff ready to add to my site. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK! And thanks to the problem and this is on the up side for me. I learned about the forum which I knew about but hadn't used until now. I found some really good information here.

Hmmm very interesting... I had been going fine and replaced 6 or so images with updated ones of the same name without fault but then went to replace another and the file manager seemed to show the thumbnail but when I published the image was the same as it was before with no hint of the newer image. Tried a few more times with the same outcome. In the publisher the image shows the updated one but the published site is the older version. Cleared the cache many times and nothing.

All the 6 other images I uploaded before show as they should with the newer version.

Woops no sooner did I type all that and 10 minutes after updating the published site shows the updated image so I guess it worked but very slowly...

Maybe I was a bit to trigger happy there.... I tried it on my desktop PC and it works fine! My laptop still won't upload even after I've cleared the cache, Kershnee :-(

So...the problem seems to have something to do with the laptop - very strange!
Sorry about that. Seeing as the techies are done maybe they can have a look at it for me.... just kidding guys. Have a drink on me :-)

Ed, that delayed updating of the images, I've experienced many times before.
I actually expect it to happen, specially after replacing an image with an image of the same name. Sleep tight....and you can go to the loo now Monique ;-)

ahh ... It seems my site-builder keeps loading forever ever since I logged in today. And I really need to update my site with new content.

Hello Kumby,
I'm sorry you are having this problem. Can you please try clearing your cache, here is a link with information on how to do this: Clear Your Browser's Cache. Also, you can try using another browser such as Firefox, it is a free download, here is some more information: Download Firefox.

wow iive missed alot over the weekend,ive been at whitby regatta enjoying all sorts of fun,anyway well done yola on your hard work.im sorry i wasnt here to cheer you along the way:( im positive you always do your very best to fix the bugs.
