Yola Mail deleting emails from my inbox without my consent!

Emails have been deleted from my yola email account without my knowledge or consent. Is there anyway to retrieve them and stop this happening in the future?

Many of them were from Clients and I have no other way to contact them.

Hi Thomas,

We'd like to help you with this. Emails are not automatically deleted in Yola Mail. Are you using a third party mail client such as Outlook in conjunction with your Yola Mail account?

If you use MacMail as your e-mail client and you download your e-mails from your Yola Mail account via POP3, your e-mails will be removed from your webmail Yola Mail mailbox. You should have all your e-mails in your MacMail programme. Have you tried to locate them there?

If you would like to retrieve messages from your POP3 accounts you will need to configure it in your webmail settings.

To add/remove POP3 account:
  1. Log in to My Yola.

  2. Click on Yola Mail.

  3. Click "Check inbox".

  4. Log in to your Yola Mail account.

  5. Click on "Mail" located under "Settings", at the bottom left side of the menu.

  6. Click the "POP" tab.

  7. Click "Add New Account".
    Please note: The settings that you need to add are typically provided by your ISP or network administrator. If you are unsure of any settings, it is best to contact them to confirm.

  8. Enter a name for your POP3 account in the "POP Name" field (e.g., "My work email").

  9. Add the POP3 server name in the "POP Server Name" field.

  10. Add the POP3 server port in the "POP Server Port" field.

  11. If the POP3 mail server requires secure connection, click the "Use secure connection" checkbox.

  12. Enter your email account username in the "POP User Name" field.

  13. Enter your email address into the "POP Full Email Address" field. This email address will appear in the "From" field, by default, when replying or forwarded emails retrieved from this POP account.

  14. Enter your account password in the "POP Password" field.

  15. Using the "Destination Folder" drop-down, select the folder where you'd like to save the email messages retrieved from this email account.

  16. Select the "Leave Messages on Server" checkbox, if you want to leave your read email messages on the POP3 server.

  17. Type the number of seconds to wait for the server response in the "Server Timeout" field.

  18. Click Save.

If you would prefer your mail to be synced and downloaded to both your email client and webmail simultaneously, you should change your account settings to IMAP. You can find details on how to do this in our tutorial: Setting up your email with Yola Mail.
