Help formatting Yola Online Store

I am new to using Yola and was doing just fine. I then decided to purchase the Yola on-line store (which to be fair is really easy to use), but I have a couple of problems which I can't figure out even using the help screns:
1. I want to add additional, more detailed images to each product. Prior to getting the on-line store I was able to link pictures so that when they were clicked on they brought up more pictures, which I can't seem to do now on the on-line store
2. There is a large gap at the top of the page, between the heading (store/subcategory) and the drop-down 'choices' box, when I drag the on-line store widget in, which I feel looks untidy, but I can't delete the extra lines in the source code.

Could someone please help by giving me simple step-by-step instructions with little or no technical language! :-)

Thanks in advance

Hello A,

Additional images can be added to the image gallery of the Store. You can add as many additional images as you like through the Gallery tab. (See the screen shot below.)

The large gap: Can you take a screen shot of your page and post it here or publish your site as is and let us know its web-address. This may be an aspect of the Style that you have chosen. This may be able to be modified.

happy to work with you to sort these out if needed.

Hello A,

Another thing learned. No shame in that whatsoever. Well done and a perfect screen shot. (one of your best conference tools for collaborative help. Put it in your bag of tricks for future reference)

That gap is an issue I see and not something I'm seeing on a page I have but then again mine is modified +++

Can you tell me your site's address and I can look at the code remotely and possibly identify the reason this is happening. If it can be identified there may be a solution.

Gop.

Hi Gop,

Thanks for the encouragement. I am learning new things evvery day, some more challenging than others! :-)

My site is:

www.gemipreciousjewellery.co.uk

I don't want to publish it yet as it is nowhere near ready.

Thanks for your continued help

Hi A,

Unfortunately a published site is the only way that I can see the details.

Publishing your site for a short time really doesn't expose it very much as it will take the search engines a week to several months to index your site. You can simply unpublish it when we're finished with this aspect. Your call.

OK, I'll publish it now. Can you let me know when you have completed what you need to so that I can unpublish it again?

Many thanks again

Great news A! The space isn't showing in your published store which is the definitive perspective:

The reason for it appearing the in the sitebuilder??? I don't know

Have finished with your site now. You can unpublish.

Aaarghh. I see it on a sub-section. leave it published and I'll look further.

OK A,

I have been able to modify it to reduce that space. It's a complex fix and a little dangerous for the novice.

Are you happy to keep this in mind and when you develop further skills come back to this and make the modification at that time. I really think that this is the best way to go as I can't modify your store remotely. What I have done is made the mods on what it appears like on my browser. This is able to be back translated to your code but as mentioned quite complex for you at this time.

I'm happy to lead you through this at any time.

If you have some categories finished and ready there is nothing wrong in staying published now....You can simply remove categories from the main navigation menu and add them back as you finish them.....Your call if this would work for you of course but I thought I would let you know this may be a possible option.

I like to get the clock ticking on getting indexed. The way my site is it was easy to only show finished categories. The result was I was already getting a few sales here and here before my last few categories were ready to go public.

A sale would be the greatest positive feedback out there I'm sure.
